We needed an airport hotel for the night, it’s close by for convenience and set in a relaxing large garden that is well maintained with a pool. You can hear the big jets taking off but that didn’t disturb our nights sleep, we slept well in a large room with comfortable beds. Friendly staff. Airport taxi arranged by hotel cost $10 and arrived early for our 04.00 transport.

Check in was easy. Only waited for 10 mins for the shuttle, took 6 mins to check in and that was with a room switch, as my legs were sore, I didn’t want to be upstairs. So, they gave me a room on the main level, very close to the lobby. Excellent service. Room cost more than I wanted to pay, but it was close to the airport and I had a flight the next morning. So worked out paying 30 more overnight.

The shopping centre is across the road. The bus stop is very close (not marked on Google maps). The supermarket is not too far (10-15min walk).

Excellent place to stay before / after a flight. 20 mins drive from the airport but means you are in beautiful surroundings - trails through woods, nice gardens and views. Swimming pool and buildings beautiful. Great food, restaurant has nice atmosphere. Great value stay.

Cute little town near the airport. Probably not a destination, but, if you have a night to kill before flying out, it's fine. Otherwise, there isn't anything I know of to draw visitors. Couple cute restaurants on the main street. Felt safe walking around after dark.

We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do.
We did more in San Antonio than we expected to do. The church in the center of town was welcoming, and there are a lot of restaurants with good food and service. The bussing to other areas (San Jose and Heredia) is well marked and has an appropriate schedule. Plus, the area felt safe to walk after sunset. Because of its convivence, we extended our hotel stay to stay in the area, and only bussed to San Jose for the day.

For us La Rivera is a take off and arrival point, so the easy airport access is important. It is an easy walk to a phone store or Pali supermarket for some basics, and the local pista, church and park give you a safe introduction to Costa Rica. There is not much else to do in the immediate area.
This hotel was a gem! The photos did not do it justice. We booked it for our last night in Costa Rica and enjoyed it greatly. The surroundings and decor were tasteful. My husband also enjoyed a dip in the pool.
A big thank you to the staff members as they were exceptionally nice and helpful - I don't like coriander and the staff members did everything to make sure I would have no coriander in my food. If we go back to Costa Rica we will book a longer stay in this hotel as they also organise wildlife trips.
Staff were very friendly and helpful, and the driver who shuttled us to the airport went out of his way to drop us at our car hire place, which was very kind of him. Also, hotel was across the road from a supermarket, so it was great to be able to get water and snacks at a reasonable price.

All overall, it's a nice place to stay, a cute hotel very near to the airport.
They have a shuttle, and the drivers are very gentle and friendly.

The staff, grounds and restaurant of the hotel is wonderful. As is the proximity to the airport. Unfortunately, we found the bedrooms and hallways stuffy and dated a little bit.
Loved it - could’ve stayed longer :-) Such a great hotel with lovely staff, incredibly spacious rooms and perfect location for an overnight stay ahead of an AM flight!
