Our room was very spacious and comfortable - with a patio outside, an office like desk in a side-niche, a large bathroom - all very clean. Air-conditioning was excellent. Facilities were nice (although we did not use most of them).
Breakfast was very good with a nice selection of foods.

Jaco by itself is a nice place for vacationing. The beach is good and a lot of beaches nearby. Its proximity to Manuel Antonio and other places in the north are a big plus. The downtown is buzzing with lot of restaurants and ice cream shops. We walked along the downtown in the evening.

Beach is walkable and smooth at water line, shade options closer to road although rocky and quite a bit of driftwood, so wear shoes.
Lots of excursions to choose from. 2 large grocery stores that have everything you need including liquor and wine right in town centre.

I don't really recommend Jacó.
I don't really recommend Jacó. Granted that I went on the low season, but it was an empty beach, even Herradura and Hermosa were not that nice, and the street with the stores and restaurants was not a nice walk.

The best thing is Jaco’s long sandy beach with the warm ocean lapping the shore. I would highly recommend the hotel Club del Mar as a perfect place to enjoy the beach and sunsets whilst wrapped in the comforts of this lovely hotel at the quiet end of the beach

Lot's of skunks, hookers and coke. None of which I enjoy. Everyone says its to close to San Jose. But, the surf was excellent when we arrived. Awesome break! The New Jersey pizza joint was the best food and company, also the creeper. Its best to be in your domicile by at least 9pm and damn sure don't go out after 11pm. Good luck.

Jaco was a fun place to visit. Stayed five days. Eating out in Jaco - ate some great local food. Safe to walk around. Nobody on street begging. Had to go to the private clinic and they were great. Food in town was considerably cheaper than on the resort.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent with only a short walk to the beach. It is a smaller Hotel so there is no sense of loud noise from to many people. The rooms are very clean and housekeeping was done very well. The pool is very nice. The bar next to the pool is very convenient. The Hotel arranged for us to have great transport to and from the San Jose Airport.
A great value compared to other larger places in Jaco.
We only stayed for one night but you could for sure stay longer. Our room was nice and clean. There was space to hang things. There is an AC. The shower was good with warm water. There is a typical costa rican breakfast which was good. It is located right on the main street and not far from the beach. The laundry service was for a good price and really quick.
Manrique one of the staff checked us in. He was super nice and speaks spanish and english. The hotel only has around 8 rooms so it’s very niche and small and homey. The pool in the middle of the property is nice to relax. The location of the hotel is a good walking distance of 15-20’ from the centre of Jaco and 5-10’ to the beach.
The hostel is quite nice. It’s located a bit outside of the main city so it’s super quiet. The hosts are really wonderful. They prepare a fresh breakfast every morning which is super delicious. Don’t be surprised to find some insects in your room - that’s just Costa Rica! They don’t have an A/C which didn’t bother me.
Amazing location (being beachfront but also at a relatively quiet part of Playa Hermosa), nice restaurant with great fried fish, friendly staff, clean rooms
