We spent only a day to run around Truskavets and Drohobych.
We spent only a day to run around Truskavets and Drohobych. It was fun and interesting. We enjoyed driving up into Skidnytsa and visiting sites in the Carpathians. This was an easy drive and we used a rental car we got in Lviv from Budget rent a car. The war has no significant impact on these areas and they are very safe in 2023. I will include a picture of St. George Church in Drohobych which was interesting and a UNESCO world heritage site.

Truskavets is a museum under the open sky. Each house, street is unique. Many trees, plants, flowers.
A large park made of the original forest part.

Truskavets is a nice city.
Truskavets is a nice city. It has good shopping and great restaurants. The hotels are very basic. Most of the staff at these places don't speak any English or very limited. They don't have English menus either.

I the past this spa resort has seen better days for sure,...
I the past this spa resort has seen better days for sure, but it is quickly regaining it`s power. Very good value for your money and highly recommended for a little adventurous traveler. It is a sort of health and SPA „las vegas“ of Ukraine.

If you want to see a Soviet-style spa town, you have to go...
If you want to see a Soviet-style spa town, you have to go to Truskavec. It has all the modern amenities, restaurants, hotels etc., but also some old-style socialist hotels (which have some special shabby chic) and most impressive thing - "mineral water buffet" - a large , long and narrow pavillion building, resembling train station, with dozens of pipes from where you can get very healthy mineral water to drink. Two sorts of water - one smells like petrol, the other like rusty nails with rotten eggs. But they are really good for your health. Really cool town for one-day stop, or at least couple of hours.
Irina and Sofia at Front Desk were always very helpful. Petro at security always looking to protect the cars at the parking and to not let intruders to the hotel. Room 420 has good quality furnishing and equipment, it is nicer and bigger than room 302 and 211 (where my family members stayed).
Hotel rooms are big and clean. Every day available big bottle of water, bunch of fresh towels, robe. Amazing breakfast. Accessible medical treatments and curative waters inside of the hotels. I also liked small healthy drinks bar (green, collagen shots, etc). Children playground is awesome.
Great hotel with the best food in Truskavets. I'm ready to back there only for eating :)
