We came by bus - the bus station was approx 150 meters from the accomodation. It was an excellent location as we could walk everywhere - to restaurants and supermarkets and Dormitor NP.
Our room was comfortable and clean and our host Yelena was so lovely and helpful.
We loved everything about our stay and hope we can come back again one day!

Durmitor National Park is beautiful. We did the hike up to Bokotov peak which is stunning but challenging if you’re not a hiker. Black Lake is beautiful for a dip in the water. We only had one full day which was not enough. Would have like to go down to the Tara river to swim there. Oro restaurant is good, but busy so worth booking a table.

The natural beauty of the mountains, lakes and canyons around Durmitor is really quite breathtaking! I'd definitely recommend taking a few hours to do the circular drive round Durmitor in and amongst any specific activities you'll be doing in the region.
Having a (rental) car is mega useful, although if you don't you can still get to the lake (Crna Jezera) fine on foot and for activities there'll be shuttle busses to catch in Zabljak

Zabljak is a resort town on the edge of the stunning Durmitor National park. It is a tourist location and there are lots of outdoor activities available. The surrounding scenery is stunning and particularly the river for the rafting. However it is quite a busy place so expect it to be so in the summer months. There is a selection of restaurants, a couple of grocery stores and lots of different kinds of accommodation. A couple of days here is enough.

It’s a small town that has everything you need, including supermarkets and ATMs. However, you should understand that there are no museums or cinemas there :) This is a town where you go to see the beautiful nature around and enjoy the mountain air.

Zabljak is a laid-back town, surrounded by nature.
Zabljak is a laid-back town, surrounded by nature. It's at about 1400 meters, so temperatures are mild. (or even cold on a bad day).
There aren't many marked hikes, but the one we did, was really nice. One attention point: The main attraction is the black lake but if you want to park you car at the large parking lot, you will pay 3€ per hour. (yes: three euro per hour!!). Plus another 5 euro per person park entrance. Absolutely ridiculous!
