Rooms dirty, stains of what looks like blood on the carpets, neon green stains on carpets , food crumbs on carpets, and counters. The espresso machine leaks water, and the pods don't go in. Coffee mug had been used, my slipper had a brown stain on the looks like old blood. Light swing missing.

Park Plaza County Hall London, hotel in London

Situated on London's South Bank, this modern and family-friendly hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from the River Thames and London Eye.

My room was upgraded to a studio room at no extra cost. I loved the bath and separate shower. Very comfortable bed. Climate control in room with very quiet fans. Sauna and steam room in basement are excellent. Lovely bar staff welcomed me for a late meal (approaching 10pm) with great service and no sense of being rushed. The next morning: delicious breakfast via room service, served hot and on time.

Comfort Inn Victoria was excellent base to see sights, only 10min walk to Buckingham palace and then we followed a route to birdcage rd to big Ben/Westminster along the Thames to horse guard avenue to see change of guards and back up the mall to Buckingham palace again to walk back to hotel. This hotel was great for Victoria palace theatre for Hamilton and Apollo Theatre for Wicked. On our second day Madam Tussauds is amazing, more than just the wax works, worth every penny and Hard rock Cafe Piccadilly was great for dinner, the staff are so cool and friendly.

We had 2 x days in London, staying overnight.

We had 2 x days in London, staying overnight. There were lots of things to do - we visited both the Natural History and Science Museum (Book in advance and the correct location). You do have to pay for some of the exhibitions - we paid for "Power Up" in the Science Museum to look at the evolution of gaming, the teenagers loved this playing games from the 80's and onwards! We took the Topview opentop bus (downloaded the app and received a discount). Did both red and blue routes to see the sites. This was great as you get to see all the landmark sites. Part of this was in the dark so was great to see The London Eye and London Bridge lit up. It was very cold on top deck so be sure to wrap up warm if in the colder season. We didn't get to do everything we wanted as we ran out of time. I would suggest getting tickets in advance for everything to avoid long queues. If you use the tube (16 and over) you can pay by card or Applepay at the gate, the great thing is that there is a max charge per day Contactless Daily Cap of Zone 1–2 £8.50 (at time of writing). If you download the TFL app you can plan your journey with help. Great city full of history and sites. A must do for the bucket list!

Close to all local attractions, 6 minutes from Waterloo Station and underground. Could see the London Eye, Big Ben and Houses of Parliament from outside the hotel. Five minutes to river tours, bus tours etc. The Adelphi Theatre not far so saw Back to the Future during the evening. Only there for one evening so did not manage other trips unfortunately.

Perfect location for travelling all around london - Russel Sq. Station has Piccadilly line which connects to Heathrow. Otherwise there's King's Cross and St. Pancras train stations. Walking distance to Holborn, Oxford Street, British Museum. Big rooms with windows, better than the majority of London hotels. Some of the rooms are as big as 25 sq m. That is very rare for London at this price. The bathroom was fully renovated with a modern clean design. The bed was comfortable-ish, on the hard side.

It's in an incredible location as you're in the centre of London just a few minutes walk from the Natural History Museum. The staff were friendly as we dropped off our backs earlier in the day and then were able to check in quite late at night. The rooms were also fairly decent, with desks and beds that were quite comfortable. I feel like it could use being a bit cheaper, but it is London and better value than most of the hotels around.

Our favorite hotel in London, where we have stayed many times the last ten years. Nice apartments with kitchenette. Good location in a nice area, close to two tube stations and several bus lines nearby, easy access from Heathrow, many restaurants, museums and nice areas to walk around in. The hotel has been good at fulfilling our wishes regarding floor plan etc. Also, nice and good service by Urszula in the office. Thank you!

The room was big and nicely decorated. I loved the shower room. The hotel is situated few minutes walk from Marble arch. We didn't have breakfast but there are many shops closeby. The room was always clean and so was the bathroom. The lounge area was small yet amazing. The hotel has certain touches you do not find in other hotels. It feels homey. The price is not cheap, but yet again cheap and London never go together.

The apartment was clean and specious (compared to london hotels/apartments). Everything in the room was complementary (water, crisps, chocolate). This was very handy as one would arrive to the hotel tired and looking for a quick snack! The homemade batch products were absolutely AMAZING!
