Despite not expecting to be picked up I was collected from the airport which was great. I also got to meet lots of the locals too who are so friendly, no tourist trap here, just great people and thanks to Maria for all her help as my Portuguese is limited to hello and thank you!

Kenito is an amazing guy, very welcoming and always available to help. His little hotel is a gem for Sao Tomè. No doubts I'd go back if I travel again to the country.

We were able to exchange some euros into dobras as well, which was very handy! There was also a delicious breakfast for us the next morning, with fresh bread, fruits, eggs and butter and delicious coffee and tea.
