Offering an outdoor pool, spa and on-site restaurant, Drostdy Hotel is located in the beautiful town of Graaff-Reinet, which features over 220 heritage sites. Amazing service and lovely property. The rooms and grounds are beautiful, the pool and spa fantastic. The hotel has a generator so even when the power goes out, there is no real interruption. Restaurant is delicious and the staff are so wonderful and friendly!

This former power station is located in Knysna and offers sunny suites with an iPod docking station and views of the Knysna Lagoon. The spacious sun deck comes with an outdoor pool. What an incredible decoration. The property is so pretty with all the turbines from the days the hotel was a power station, mixed with modern paintings and what not. Really adds to the atmosphere. It's connected to a gastropub which was very convenient in the evening because we were tired and didn't even have to leave the property to have a nice burger and beers(plus live music). The breakfast is amazing, I got myself a delicious eggs benedict with smoked salmon. There was loadshedding but the hotel honors its past and has a generator so we were not left in the dark. Finally, loved the vibe in Thesen Island, the canals, the calm streets, etc.

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Our flight arrived early into Joburg and we went straight to the hotel who made every effort to make us comfortable while waiting for our room, and even checked us in early. The restaurant on site was tasty and the room was well appointed and a very comfortable bed. The best part was their dog, Hazel! Such a sweet girl :)
