I was on a trip to explore family "roots" and ancestry in Nordland. Sandnessjoen was fairly centrally situated for the surrounding sites I wanted to visit. Unfortunately, I didn't schedule sufficient time to do all the things I wanted to do. If I had it to do again, I would stay at least a couple days longer - maybe more.
Stamsund
Large apartment with 4 bedrooms (2 queen size, 1 regular bunk beds, 1 family bunk beds), open living room and dining area, table seating 10 comfortably. Fully equipped kitchen, functional and clean - good capacity fridge and separate freezer, induction top and oven. 2 large terrasses with nice views. All very new and clean :-) Practical to have the grocery store in the same building (open every day). 3 min walk to the bus stop to/from Leknes - check the Reis (Nordland) app for schedule and tickets.
Comfortable room, very good beds. The hotel is decorated as an homage to Ole Tobias Olsen, the founder of the railway Nordland Line. Check out the "dining compartment", where you can also make your own waffles.
Very nice hotel, 5 minutes walk to main station as well as bus stop coming from Narvik (Nordlandssjukhuset bus stop). Nice room, good breakfast, everything exceeded all expectations.
Anker Brygge was conveniently located, it was incredibly charming and the staff went above and beyond. It was the perfect start to our Lofoten getaway. I was especially grateful to the restaurant for squeezing us in for a last-minute meal. (Call ahead during busy season if you want to be sure of getting a table!)

The staff were very friendly and amazing and the European breakfast was so delicious and fulfilling.
To be honest I didn’t expected this place to be that great! During your staying, you basically live in the one of most iconic place of this country - fisherman’s houses. Everything inside is so authentic that you literally try to examine every detail of this hotel, from the windows of your room, to the houses in general. It’s also a great place if you like photography, not only due the big amount of beautiful places around, but also because the hotel itself looks incredible during the midnight sun.

The kindness of the staff (Audrey in particular who was really caring and available to help us even after working hours), the way we were warmly welcomed 🤩 : with jazz music on (wahouuu), ambiance lights turned on, Perfect organisation for self check in, the choice of the furniture in the rorbuer, everything perfect to feel comfy and at home (the best rorbuer we have had in all our 10 days trip by far !). We loved staying there. The location was just great, the view, the proximity of Anita’s, everything. The antic shop, the owner who is s in ncerely invested in offering great quality. There are no such things!! This campsite deserves a 10 rating in every parameter! The cabins, the common public areas, all the surrounding space, everything is at the highest level one could hope for. And above all, the amazing staff gives the guest a wonderful feeling and makes every effort to assist with joy.
Everything was perfect. Rooms were lovely and clean, one of the best kitchen facilities I've come across, great location, and yet still peaceful and quiet. Definitely recommend.
Overall very pleasant stay. Well equipped cabin, nice playground for the kids.
