We were in room 230. Beautiful views of the ocean, corner unit at the far end of the building separate sofa sitting area and large bed in adjoining room. Nice full bathroom with bath looking to ocean and shower. It had a small balcony with chairs and table looking down the coast and ocean, great room. Breakfast very good a la carte and buffet with a Bloody Mary cart setup, nice touch. Cliff trail is right out front the touristy restaurants a block walk away. View Point on the trail 3 blocks way. Protected pool area. Nice main bar and outside seating with ocean views to look for whales. Secure guarded parking and he washed my car, thanks. Thank you Motion and to all in the bar (motion you are now a friend) who helped me learn a few sisutu words, and add to the ixihosa ones I new, it was a good laugh! Food in the restaurant very good. Across the trail from Bientangs a nice on the waves restaurant to try. Beautiful spot to stay in Hermanus, we would definitely stay again.

Not reading the desciptions of the various rooms available I inadvertantly booked a room with a sea view not realising that there were some stairs to climb. As I cannot walk up or down stairs, , I mentioned this to Reception. Without hesitation they quickly arranged a room swap and we were given a room on the ground floor. Fantastic service.

Hermanus has beautiful coastal walks in both directions, wonderful restaurants catering for all food tastes and pockets, (some very close to the ocean and with great ambience),
galleries, gift shops, supermarkets, markets stalls, all easily accessible.
There are whale watching tours and wine tours and a museum and much historical interest.
In short a perfect place for a weekend away.

Hermanus is a beautiful town situated close to the ocean. It is a visitors paradise with much to do and very focused on nature. The town is exceptionally clean and you can see that the community are committed to preserving its natural beauty. The seafront has numerous restaurants - all with a unique character and a vibrant atmosphere.
Visitors can enjoy whale watching from various points along the promenade.

Hermanus is a one of a kind location that everyone should come and visit.
The town has no traffic lights, only several round-about circles, making it less congested with traffic flowing more easily.
It is a quiet and serene place to visit, with plenty to see and enjoy.
A hub for travellers near and far to enjoy beautiful sunsets, and sunrises of course, with a good chance of seeing some Whales when they come to the shores of Hermanus from September to, I think February.
Don’t forget to visit Grotto beach, and do make time to take a leasurely stroll along the cliff path for some amazing views of the shoreline.
Looking for a place to eat that is away from the city centre, then you must visit De Vette Mossel, as you leave Hermanus on your way to Stanford. The very best buffet that money can buy, and well worth the visit for excellent sea food and more!

Hermanus has so much to offer in the way of beautiful clean beaches, incredibly well maintained cliff walks, tidal pools and caves, a lively centre with varied shops, delicious food, but above all it is very safe! I have not felt so relaxed as this in a big town in South Africa in a long time! Well done Hermanus!
Grotto beach is beautiful, Ficks Pool is fun for the kids, and Hame is an absolute gem of a restaurant & I will recommend it to everyone!

A truly wonderful guest house to stay in with natural light, bang on the rocky beach where one hears the sea all night. It offers a great balcony with a braai, comfortable chairs and table and a perfect sea view. Every gadget that can make you feel at home right down to a full spice rack. The apartment was beautifully clean and comfortable. One can do a little walk on the rocky beach. Sadly it is not within walking distance of Hermanus itself but next to the abalone factories with, at times, some acrid smells. Safe parking.
We had a wonderful stay at Abalone, all the staff were so helpful and made our stay exceptional. Lovely room, comfy bed, very clean, great side gate to lovely cliff walk into Hermanus. The pool was great relaxing area and the breakfast was lovely with beautiful sea view from the terrace.
Beaitiful luxurious, more like a 5 star boutique hotel. Excellent rooms, hosts very friendly and good recommendations of restaurants etc. Great location. Great breakfast. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Will definitely become our Hermanus getaway stay. Could not fault Villa Venusta.
The staff were amazing, especially James. I've stayed in Hermanus many times, including at the Marine, and our stay at Mosselberg was incredible. The view (you cant beat it) the room the facilities!! We will be back.
