The location was perfect for getting to see the city beyond the V&A waterfront and we chose it specifically for its location. The inclusive breakfast was superb and I loved the way that the recent interior design of Mint (the restaurant where breakfast was served) had been put together.

The only good thing about this hotel is its location. It is near most amenities and the beach. The BEST thing is that there is the restaurant- SONNY & IRENE! Arrange breakfast vouchers with this place that is on your premises. The service there was good! They "salvage" the hotel during our stay. We were a group of 9 friends.

Everything still seemed very new and clean. It was great to have a BBQ on the balcony and such a big kitchen as we used it to cook a few times. The roof top pool was a great perk especially as we had little ones, although we used it when the restaurant was quiet as it's a cool restaurant for adults to hang out for a nice drink.
The daily housekeeping was great as were not the tidiest. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great, very close to 2 supermarkets and ice cream shops.

I first visited this hotel about 25 years ago. It's a lovely old hotel that has been stylishly updated and decorated whilst preserving the charm of the original. It's extremely comfortable and wonderfully peaceful, with great mountain views from the delightful terrace and some of the rooms. The rooms are restful, the beds are very comfortable and the bathrooms are great with walk-in shower and bath. The grounds are beautiful.. I could happily have stayed much longer.

Staff are so friendly and amazing - especially Abigail and her reception team. The spa team with Adele was excellent. The pool guy was attentive and helpful. We stayed in Dock House 1 and the suite was amazing. Location is safe and very close to all the shopping and food. The gym was adequate for a holiday gym. Staff resolved the small issues that we did have quickly and without fuss. Excellent customer service.

We enjoyed picking up the open top bus at the Aquarium. On different days we enjoyed the red & blue line. It's a great way to get about hop on off. You probably need a couple or more visits to the VA there is so much there

Be mindful of your wallets and purses, but I feel safe walking around here during the day and evening. The Victoria Mall has everything you might need while you're visiting. I loved that the souvenir shops contained items made in South Africa - not China! Lots of great restaurants and bars. Don't drive here, use Uber instead - you won't need to deal with the self-appointed "parking guards" hustling for money. If you're here on a cruise ship- its walkable and safe!

Very touristy.
Very touristy. Nice for shopping and some trendy restaurants. But give it a miss if you're not into the commercial and if you prefer a quieter meal and walk. Watch the younger children closely as well if you're visiting on a Sunday. The place is often heaving and it's easy to lose them in a crowd.
