No words can really describe how unforgettable and breathtaking our time here was. We were here for 4 days and experienced an incredible amount - moments that we will never forget. The hosts/owners and all the staff at the lodge are simply enchanting, they are authentic, very close to their guests, attentive and very keen to make your time with them an experience. The safari trips were great, we were lucky enough to see many wild animals and the knowledge of our guide Ismael made the whole experience complete. We are humbled and grateful that we were able to be part of this unique nature for a few days and that it showed itself from its best side. But even on safaris without many animals, there was a lot to discover. The birds, the bush etc. are worth every trip. We also met great people there, enjoyed good food and switched off. Not only was the welcome on arrival and the farewells warm, but we were greeted personally by the owners after every safari - thank you. Our lodge right on the riverbed - wow. While you're lying in bed or sitting on the terrace, you might be lucky enough to see animals drinking at the waterhole or monkeys in the trees. Guide show us big Five, 4 in the afternoon safari--elephant/buffalo/leopard/Lion. 1 in the morning safari--rhinoceros. Really nice.

I am sorry it took me forever to review, but here I am!! Emhosheni is AMAZING. We've been there this past July- a little less than 2 months ago. The property is really well kept, the accommodations are great, plus its safe with an electric fence, what put me at ease since we had my daughters with us. It is also a very tranquil place and lots of animals paid us "visits" by drinking water at the river right in front of the property. But what I really wanted to highlight is the out of this planet STAFF. The game drives with William, Sarah the manager and Eric, whom we'll never forget. Lucia, the cook, was also amazing. Only to mention the ones we interacted the most with. If you want to spend time with really enchanting human beings while at the same time exploring the wild life, do not miss this opportunity. We will never forget this trip- and the team was a major portion of our experience. We also felt safe with the experienced and lots of fun to hang out with, William. The game drives at the reserve were thrilling, but they also arranged other requests like a day at the Kruger, and a visit to a conservation centre. They were always attentive to our comfort, whether the day would be cold or hot, if we'd need food or what clothes to wear. It was all and all a perfect experience!!
