We have lived in Durban for many years and like it. Durban beachfront promenade, Umhlanga promenade and shopping in Umhlanga and Gateway are always good. The only downside is the the ANC dominated municipality which continually lets the infrastructure, services and amenities degrade and collapse.

Durban is one of the best places to visit right round the year. There are so many tourist's attractions that you cannot see all in one visit. There is never a dull moment in Durban. If you tell me that you were bored in Durban, then the problem lies with you.

Durban is one of our more preferred local holiday destinations.
With near perfect weather (for us at least) all year round, and lots to see, do, and experience, it is a really wonderful holiday destination, whether travelling alone, couples, or with kids and family.
Dining options are also widely catered for, and abundantly available.

A positive at this location was easy access to the beaches, shopping malls, variety of excellent food outlets and places of interest.
Suggestions:
Please add welcoming tea bags, coffee, sugar ratchets and milk pouches on first day
An extra hand towel will also be appreciated. (Provide two instead of just one).

THE TRIP WAS PERFECT AND WHAT I LIKED THE MOST WAS GOING TO TH BEACH AND ALSO CRUISING WAS GREAT AS WELL. WE ATE AT MACDONALDS AND WE ALSO ATE AT COAST WHAT WHAT SPUR WHICH I FORGOT THE NAME OF THE MALL. BUT OVERALL IT WAS NICE.
The room was exceptional and clean with all the amenities you could possibly want. Staff are seen working hard from keeping the stairs clean to cleaning the light fittings in the hallways. Breakfast was excellent. I'm not sure if Belaire has changed management or ownership, but i have stayed there before, and the hotel has really stepped up their accommodation and services since my previous stays. This, in my opinion, is the best hotel to stay at if you must stay at the durban Beachfront area.
My daughter was the person who stayed there and she loved her stay. She was highly impressed with everything about her final room she was placed in. The bed was comfortable, as were the chairs. There was a full mini-kitchen with coffee etc supplied. The view was amazing, could not be beaten! The bathroom was very clean and adequate. There was a lot of cupboard storage space. Everything in the hotel was extremely clean!! Thank you management and staff of Parade Hotel, Durban, KZN, South Africa!
