The hotel’s location is very central to all the Cape Town sights. The room was perfectly located away from the main road and the sea view was awesome. The bathroom was well appointed and the towels fluffy and white. The bedding was also like that of a five star hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Cape Town

Cool, Colourful Cape

Between mountains and beaches, the 2nd largest city in South Africa mixes history, resilient modernity, and a typical laidback African character. From the top of Table Mountain to the colourful Bo Kaap quarter, and from the Victoria & Albert Waterfront to the modern business district, Cape Town blends multicultural influences and beautiful nature.

Known as Kaapstad in Afrikaans, its sunny weather and mild temperatures make it a perfect place to enjoy the large number of beaches that surround it. From Sunset Beach to Hout Bay, and from Simon’s Town to Gordon Bay, this city offers a variety that suits all tastes. Whale and dolphin watching is a popular activity in False Bay.

Located on the Cape of Good Hope, the city was founded in 1652 by a Dutch trading company as a way-station for ships travelling to the East Indies. With the settling process, all sorts of foreign plants were introduced, including the grapes in the famous Cape Winelands District, just outside Cape Town.

Cape Town’s history does have some darker periods, and some of its memorable places from this time deserve to be visited: Robben Island jail, the City Hall from which Nelson Mandela gave his first public speech, and the statues of the 4 South African Nobel Peace Prize winners on the V&A Waterfront.

It is a very clean city with almost no litter and very few vagrants. Lots to do and see. It is a great city to promote S.A. to foreign and local tourists. City transport is at a premium with city busses in abundance. Water tours from V&A Waterfront are a must. The Spring & Summer weather allows for enjoyable outdoor activities.

Fine dining in Bloubergstrand area, Table Mountain, even though the h weather were dreadful, it were still a great experience, Kirstenbosch never disappoints! Unfortunately the Castle of Good Hope, were the biggest disappointment of our lives. (It is a mess to say the least.) From entering where a very depressed women took our entrance fee, and did not know about the guides , or did not listen to my question about guides. We will definitely avoid going there again ever.

There is a lot of tourist attractions and they are affordable if you have planned your holidays in advance. The parking at different places is safe as well as most places in town. The traffic is hectic but not a headache.

A place of two halves, the have and the have nots. Seem like there was in-between. I liked Cape Town and would returned, however I was there long enough to visit my places of interest. I believe there is a hype to Cape Town, that I didn't see or feel after viewing social media before my trip. Unlike Johannesburg where what you see is what you get.

The hotel is located in the heart of vibrant Cape Town CBD near most restaurants and shops. You get to experience the sights sounds and wonderful people of South Africa. I was able to move around very easily by walking or taking Uber when it was late at night. I felt safe as a female solo traveller and the facilities at the hotel exceeded my expectations. Special thanks to Sebastian who made me feel at home safe and secure throughout my stay. Breakfast was delicious too.

Super impressed with how accommodating the hotel is when it comes to different dietary requirements. I want to especially thank Chef Candice for going above and beyond to make sure we had all the vegan variety of foods for breakfast. Thank you so much for being so kind and flexible (You’re are truly one of the kind). The owners, Russel and Alan, are very welcoming and provided a lot of very good recommendations! The breakfast is deliciously and the location great, close to the V&A waterfront. What we loved the most is the homely feel we had when staying at hotel Lola. We even returned there for our second night in Cape Town and would be very happy to stay there again :) thank you for everything Russel and Alan!
