Excellent location. Very modern and clean hotel with friendly staff located just a few meters from the ocean. We had a room on the 18th floor with a direct ocean view, so we enjoyed watching the sunset over the ocean while sitting on the balcony. We were also able to enjoy live Hawaiian music every night from the sister hotel Halekulani across the street. There is a very good restaurant on site so the food was excellent. There are also really good restaurants in the sister hotel Halekulani and we were able to charge everything to the room from there as well. It was also no problem to extend our stay on the day of check out as our flight was at 9pm. Overall one of the best experiences we had on our travels. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly and courteous. The view I had from my room was phenomenal. Hotel is at a great location near the beach and on the main road where all the activity happens. Room was spacious and very comfortable.

Particularly loved their activities program and the Aloha spirit of the Hotel. It really cared to explain the history and culture of Hawaii. All the staff were friendly and genuine, especially the lady who does the Sunrise ceremony and the story tellers. The guys around the pool, Jeff at the desk, and the cleaners were all so helpful it really made us feel welcome. Being a part of the Moana was great giving more options and we loved the dance music by David Swanson at night just inside the foyer for a bit of holiday fun. Both hotels are relaxing and in the best position on the beach. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Dont worry about the lifts, pretty minor, and everyone friendly having a chat. A great hotel, stayed level 17 facing Diamond Head, and view fantastic, refurbishment great!

Our hotel lent us towels and beach chairs. Before you settle on a spot, check out the far left as it has a man made shorebreak that makes the waves much less agressive and it was great for someone like me who doesn't like to be pushed around by the waves. There were many kids playing in the water because it was so calm. We went in May and the water was around 68 degrees. The sun is strong, I recommend you buy an umbrella at the ABC store of Longs they are around $20 and totally worth it. It was very hard to find a shady spot.

This is the beach closest to where we stayed and it more than met our expectations. It was wonderful. We could have stayed there all day from sunrise to sunset. Just spectacular. Beautiful sunsets. Lovely holiday atmosphere. Nothing can compare.

You're unable to see the beach from the street due to the...
You're unable to see the beach from the street due to the extensive buildup of hotels. But you can walk through the hotels to get to it eventually. Kaulakaula Avenue is similar to Rodeo Drive in LA. The "mom & pop" shops on the side streets are closed. If you don't have a microwave, refrigerator or kitchenette you'll be paying "big bucks" for your food. There's a Safeway Grocery store for your food needs near to Waikiki beach. Traffic in the Beach area is heavy. If you don't have a map there are volunteers throughout the area who can direct you. I recommend the Ilima Hotel for your stay. It's 2 blocks away from the beach, reasonable, has limited free parking, 10 minutes from Safeway, and easy access to the H1.

A very beautiful beach, very relaxing, very scenic, boat docs and marinas, parks, nature trails, beautiful white sand, safe and enjoyable. They have luaus at various hotels along the beach and for a reasonable fee you can go to one, but we did not. The water is crystal clear and a beautiful tropical blue green tint appearance to it. This beach is a great place to go to relax and enjoy the scenery.

The beautiful pictures you see of Waikiki are private beach areas only accessed if staying at the serious expensive top end hotels. Otherwise the strip of sand is so narrow you sit on the grass at the foot path, as sand is only a few feet when tide in or out ! Street people everywhere!

The location was perfect to walk to Waikiki beach. The entire hotel is pretty and clean, with a lot of nice details. The complementary beach stuff was pretty nice to have, and the Piña Colada was delicious.

The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The hotel smelled so nice and the room was clean and tidy. The location is a short walk to Waikīkī beach. Beach towels and floaties were available to us every day.
The hotel has an excellent location at the heart of Waikiki. Even though it is a building from the 1950s, it still has good conditions and is very comfy. Staff is very helpful and polite. The room is not that large, but it is ok and provides all that you need for your stay. If you're traveling in a group of 3 or more, it may not be that comfortable. The balcony view of Waikiki beach is just marvelous, and you can spend the night or morning enjoying a drink and watching the sunset.
The hostel is located perfectly, next to Waikiki beach. The room was small and not the prettiest, but it was clean and you do not spend much time inside anyway. It was a very good value for money. The hostel staff is very kind and informative, the hostel offer free coffee and has a great rooftop bar. There are several clean kitchens available for you to cook and there is a big fridge to use per few rooms. Hostel also lends water sports gear and has a partnership with a local agency that offer cheaper tours around the island.
The location is amazing, thanks to the use of the wristband, you can go directly to Waikiki beach in 2mins walk, take a bath and then entering the hostel without having to worry about carrying anything to the beach with you. The staff was EXCELLENT, all of them were super freidnly and eager to help you with nything. The place offered a lot of activities if you wanted to.
Everything! The hotel is magnificent, and steeped in history. We loved staying on Waikiki Beach, and being able to go between the pool and the ocean at our leisure. The location is stunning, and is right in the heart of Waikiki, walking distance to absolutely everything. The pool staff, concierge and front desk staff were wonderful.

The resort is perfectly located across the road from Waikiki Beach. There was ample space in our room which had a to die for view. The restaurants inside the hotel were also incredible.
I could not fault the staff. They were super attentive and went above our expectations.

The apartment is located very close to Waikiki beach - perfect to go for a quick swim in the morning! The rooms are fairly clean and well equipped. Especially the excessive amount of towels and soap provided made me laugh! ;-)
There is no hotel staff like a receptionist or manager available at the property (only available via email, office located in the area) but the cleaning ladies were super friendly and welcoming.
All in all, the apartment is good value for money, especially if you're not planning on staying home much anyway.
