Sonesta River North was a perfect location for going out to eat, enjoying the busy night life, and exploring the city. Lost of main attractions are walkable (river walk, millennium park, etc.) and the metro is one block away. You also get a free bike rental with your stay so we visited some beaches near by. Staff are very friendly and rooms were comfortable, but the street was loud given how central it is.
The staff were very polite & allowed for early check-in (1 hour before normal check-in). The location was a block from Michigan Ave & only a couple of blocks from The River Walk, Navy Pier, & Millennium Park. There were two elevators onsite, but they were a bit small inside.
The room was huge, all the beds had privacy curtains, individual lights, and a locker big enough to store a piece of hand luggage. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Each person has an individual card that opens their room, bathroom, and floor at the elevator - which I found gave me a feeling of safety. The hostel is near bus stops and metro stations, and you can walk to Millennium Park.
Great location, in the historic Printer’s Row and walking distance to Art Institute of Chicago and Millennium Park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room came with a microwave and fridge which were great for leftovers.
Hotel has a good jacuzzi, indoor and outdoor pool. I really like the gym, 3rd floor running track, and indoor basket ball half-court. Lobby gives an upscale look and its better than many 4 star hotels. The staff is friendly and helpful.
The hotel is located in excellent spot and we can visit millennium park and river walk within 10 mins.
Location was perfect for walking to Millennium Park and Art Institute, as well as seeing major streets. Took in show and concert too - both very accessible from the hotel. Would definitely recommend for location.
Great location, close to Chicago river and Millennium park. Rooms are smaller than conventional hotels, ideal for one person, might be a bit tight for two. But the rooms were otherwise quite comfortable. Buffet breakfast was also very good.
Location is the best in Chicago. If you are going to the city for visiting, this is the best location. Just in the heart of Chicago loop, in front of the Chicago River, easy walking to the millennium park, magnificent mile, skydeck, river walk, cloud gate, Chicago art institute, grant park and others. It is a historic building, with a beautiful lobby. My room was small, but was clean and cozy and a coffee machine was available. Coffee, milk, sugar supplied free by the hotel . Nice team providing support and service.
Hotel is situated like a moment away from the Chicago river and the millennium park with many stores, restaurants, cafes across and around the area. Room was spacious, big window for natural light and most important for me a really comfortable bed. Coffee machine was available and a big screen tv.
The hotel is located in the city center, within walking distance of attractions such as Millennium Park, the Chicago Museum, and various restaurants. The night view is excellent.
