Since 2017 The Houston ICON has been either our Christmas or Annersersary spot. Each year we have watched the standards go down, and the prices go up. Upon check-in, we had to bus our baggage to our room because there was only one bell on duty. We were accepting cars and bell duties. The front desk was less than professional, and their customer service skills must be polished. The room was ok, but the dining menu in the room was not what was offered in the dining room. We were told the menu changed on the day of our arrival. $50.00 for parking, when there is a huge sign that reflects "20.00 dollars daily" is very confusing. Over the years, we have loved the design and atmosphere of the ICON, but, it seems we must make new memories at another Houston Hotel. SAD.
