The window-shades did not work in the room when we arrived. I called front desk and the guy arrived in about 10 minutes, but was unable to fix the blue-tooth operated shades. When he started to take them down, I suggested we be located to another room, which he did within a few minutes. The new room had a chaise which was not in the first room, and the blinds were manually operated so no trouble raising or lowering them. Heat control was good. Breakfast generous. Bathtub a plus. Swimming pool nice and clean (only 4 ft deep).

Hampton Inn Binghamton/Johnson City, hotel in Johnson City

This Hampton Inn is less than 10 minutes from Binghamton University. It serves a hot buffet breakfast every morning and has an indoor pool.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. The pillows were a good mix and there were many available. The included breakfast was nice, and the room was fairly quiet aside from doors in the hall opening and closing. The pool lock was not working, but staff was happy to helpnus get in. The pool was very warm.

I was on a college visit with my son. We only stayed one night. The hotel was dirty. I don't need much just a clean place to leave my belongings and lay my head at night and this was NOT the place. If we didn't arrive later in the evening and needed to stay more then just a couple of hours we would have left and ventured off to find a different hotel. The surrounding area was ok, the hotel is right off the main roads so it is convenient but not someplace you want to be walking around.

We only went into the city area for a grocery shopping experience at Wegmens. Other than that our visit was primarily with a family living in Greene, NY. Consequently we saw little of the town and never did go into Binghamton the whole time we were there.

I grew up there when there was much to do.

I grew up there when there was much to do. Now it is just a shell with many rundown homes, store fronts and terrible streets. I go for medical reasons and it is very difficult to see what has happened there. I try not to walk anywhere. Most families that could, escaped to surrounding communities.
