The hotel is in an excellent location within the Tunis Medina. The staff were very responsive to all questions and helped with getting transportation from the airport. The food in the restaurant was terrific. Would definitely recommend for a short stay in the city center.

The location of Royal Victoria is excellent: on one of the main city squares, with rooms in view of one of the old city gates, it is an ideal location to experience the Medina behind it, as well as to stroll through the Ville Nouvelle ahead. Very convenient for taxi pick up/drop off too. The medina is dead at night, so after hours you will still have the Ville Nouvelle/new town to explore.
The room was really huge and with two tiny balconies on the square. The bathroom was also huge and really beautifully tiled, with a traditional pattern. Same for the corridors, which look like a museum.
The breakfast was a great winner: it is a full buffet peppered with traditional sweets and savouries (breakfast cous cous!), ready-made omelettes, citronnade, fresh fruit and more. Great to get you ready for the day.
