It’s a nice castle with a big park around, I recommend taking a blanket to sit under old trees and chill. Unfortunately, you can access the main part of the castle only with Slovakian guide who talks only in Slovakian but there are some other parts available with local art which can be accessed without assistance. Also, it’s good to have some cash because there is lack of possibility of paying via card in some parts and the nearest ATM is 30-minute walk away.

The hotel is located about 10 minutes' walk from the historic centre and 20 minutes from the train station. Near the hotel (about 10 minutes away) there is a bus stop (21 and 27) that goes directly to Budatín Castle. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The buffet breakfast had a variety of options.
