The Grand Curiousa Hotel is among the top 5% of family centered hotels we've been to. Lots of great amenities for children. The slide from the first floor to the lobby, the free indoor carousel by the Cafe, the movie theater, and the play rooms for kids of all ages were amazing ways to keep the kids busy in between family adventures in Sweden. The market hall restaurant inside the hotel provides great meals for breakfast(included in our stay), lunch, and dinner. I would recommend to any family traveling to gothenburg to check out this hotel.

The hotel was basic and very clean. Amazing value for money. Staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is located on the river. However there is a lot of building work going on between the hotel and the city centre. Nothing you will see or hear from the hotel. Once that area has been redeveloped, the hotel will be in a brand new area of the city. I have been coming to Sweden for 15 years, sometimes 4 times a year. This was my first time in Gothenburg. I genuinely thought there was an error in the price as it was the price of a basic hotel in UK. I am used to Sweden being expensive for everything compared to most places…. Except Norway! Oh and always lots of hire bikes and scooters just outside due to an office block. Was very quiet at night, with comfortable beds.
