Amazing Hotel and Staff! It was one of the very nicest hotel I have ever stayed in. The Spa and pool areas were excellent and the staff was very attentive to our every need. The breakfast was also wonderful with everything you could want. Additionally, the view from the hotel was excellent as was the location. Each day they would bring complimentary afternoon snacks to our room. Such a very nice experience from start to finish.

What’s not to like about wandering up the wide drive of a palace and knowing you have bed for the night? From the hand-painted walls and ceilings to the serene swimming pool that offers a glimpse of the sea, there is just so much here to love. The staff is extremely welcoming, kind and funny. It was divinely quiet and so very comfortable.

From the moment we entered the property until the moment we left, our experience at Estoril Vintage Hotel was outstanding. It is a stunning property. We booked room #33, which was advertised as a "Small double room." In actuality it was a spacious, beautiful, comfortable bedroom with a large, well-appointed bathroom. The view from our window was of the gorgeous pool area. We enjoyed the extensive and delicious breakfast buffet sitting on the terrace everyday. Dinners in the spectacular dining room were also memorable with excellent food and service. The owner, Maria, oversees everything to ensure that the service is top-notch and that the needs and wants of the guests are paramount. The staff, without exception, are lovely and genuine. We really enjoyed the stroll along the water into Cascais for dinner one night.
This exceptional hotel was our favorite throughout our 3 weeks in Portugal. I cannot recommend it enough.

This is a fantastic site with a great view.
This is a fantastic site with a great view. If you are able, I suggest you walk up the mountain on the trail rather than take the bus or taxi. From there, you can also walk to Pena Palace. Of the two sites, I preferred O Castelo dos Mouros.

Wow, just stunning! We loved our time there. You can walk along all the battlements/walls and the views are amazing. It's set in the forest. This was one of our favorite places while visiting Sintra! Don't miss it.

Some of the walking once inside is tough if you are not young and fit (i am not) But it was doable and really worth it, for the history but also for the breathtaking views. A wonderfull and inexpensive visit.

The views were incredible.
The views were incredible. Unfortunately we had to walk up to the castle as the buses were full and not taking on people so I would suggest if planning a full day of sight seeing to do the hop on hop off sightseeing bus.

Great view from the room and breakfast area. Right at the beginning of the trail to Moors castle and Pena castle. Marble bathroom, luxurious interior, comfortable bed, opening windows and easy parking next to the hotel (all castles were closed because of risk of fire, so more parking than usual)
The location of this place was spectacular! A bit hard to get down the steep road with luggage with the slippy roads for my parents with mobility issues, but we made it just fine and it's nothing anyone can control (just putting it out there for others who might need a forewarning). The place was immaculately clean, check in was a breeze, and we loved being able to see the National Palace of Sintra and the Moors castle right from our windows! Also, the beds are SOOO COMFORTABLE!
Chalet Relogio is a grand residence in an area of similar homes and accommodations. We loved the old-world charm and our room was clean, spacious and comfortable. On-site parking was very convenient for us. Breakfast was welcome and had good options. Our room had excellent views of the Moors Castle and the valley to Sintra below. We also enjoyed hiking up the Vila Sassetti to the Peña Palace and the Moors Castle.
Very specious house. Fitted our family and my brother’s family. Nice view to Pena palace and Moors castle. Just few minutes to all Sintra’s places and to the ocean. Less than an hour walking to Monserrate palace. Very clean. All what we needed was there. Backyard is well arranged. We used the charcoal barbeque quite often.
The breakfast was delicious and generous. The tranquil location in the heart of the Pena Park was very relaxing and had an unforgettable view of the Moors Castle while sipping wine on the porch of the guesthouse. Jerome and staff were wonderful hosts and answered many of our questions on how to enjoy the most of Sintra and make other travel arrangements.
The owner was extremely helpful with all aspects of our visit to Sintra. Her suggestion to go to the Pena Palace before visiting the Moors Castle was very helpful. Our wait to buy tickets was much shorter than if we had gone earlier. And, she was very personable, making us feel very comfortable during our stay.
