An extraordinary sight, if not for the overly squeamish. It really IS a chapel made up of skulls, femurs, and other bones, and a testament to human mortality and -- yet -- to permanence and the possibility of our earthly demise. Lots of other things to see, but the chapel itself merits a visit.
Lovely cozy unit located within the Evora UNESCO old town. Newly renovated with a very clean well organized kitchen with the best frying pans. Stairs up to the second floor bedroom, bathroom and sitting room with the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom on the main floor. So very close to everything within the walled city. Missed the Guru free guided town tour due to rain but were able to visit the chapel of bones in the San Francisco Church which is a must see. Nuno and Ana were excellent communicators.
Beautiful hotel, wonderfully decorated - new fresh and clean. Parking outside is plentiful and the hotel is safe and secure with wonderful rooms. Checking in/out is easy with friendly staff. Superb pool and gym and breakfast is fantastic. Don't hold back on a cocktail or two in their bar when you return from the walled city. The chapel of bones is something to behold so don't miss this. Great breakfast as well.
We loved this hotel.
The room is spacious and clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast is excellent, varied and really tasty. But what truly makes a difference is the staff - attentive, professional, and so kind. It was very hot when we stayed in Evora, and the bar staff was extremely considerate when my boyfriend didn't feel well with the heat. The location is also great, within walking distance of the city centre and the Chapel of Bones, which we really wanted to visit.
This hotel is centrally located in the historic town within easy walking distance to all the main sights including the Roman Temple, Chapel of bones and fortress like Cathedral. The Hotel had a museum feel to it with many common rooms and period furnishings..
Staff was very helpful and accommodating and the buffet style breakfast was varied and plentiful.

We love this hotel. This was our second time staying there, and we will come back again. It's in a great location inside the city walls and an easy walk to the central square, the cathedral, and the Chapel of Bones. The hotel has beautiful grounds and a pool, which we look forward to using when we return at a warmer time of year. The staff is incredibly helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. It's an easy walk to a number of great restaurants.
A beautiful building inside the city walls. There's a terrace for sitting and where you can take breakfast. The room we had was very comfortable and spacious. It takes just a few minutes to walk to the centre of town and there are numerous buildings of interest including Roman remains and churches and the chapel of bones.
The location is south of the main tourist destinations, but Sao Francisco and Chapel of Bones is nearby and others are within easy walking distance. Three or four excellent restaurants are within a block. The neighborhood is quiet, and the bus station less than a kilometer away.
