Friendly staff. Nice welcoming experience and very helpful. The bed was so comfortable and room very well set out for a pleasant stay. Even had a good size bowl of mints to eat. Great location and great parking with plenty of room between cars.

We were pleased to stay at Scott Base as it broke up our drive to Taupo. The ferry was later ,so we contacted Brenda and she put the electric blankets on for us as we arrived at 10.50 pm. . It was easy to find. Brenda made us a lovely breakfast complete with pancakes and berries. They were very friendly and I will recommend Scott Base to all my friends traveling to North Island.

The bathroom facility. Awesome water pressure in the shower. Heating towel rack - although we didn't need to use it, when a place asks to think about double use of towels for the environment, then this should be in the bathroom.
The lady at reception was lovely, offered milk and suggestions on where to go for breakfast because we forgot to put our order in at the office the night before.
