The breakfest was good. Not too crowded when we came down. Liked that the hotel is so in the center. The parking is close. Liked the nice view over the fjord. We got an upgrade on the room and ended up in a suite! Beautyfull.

The upgrade done to the rooms and hotel was nicely done altough the room still needs some hooks and tables and shelfes to hang and put things on. The bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly. The view from the hotel was nice, altough when there is a cruise ship in the fjord the view is obstructed.

The location is great if you are planning the hike to Trolltunga. The view from the rooms are magical. The layout of the apartment, facilities etc are great. There is also a grocery shop just one min walk away - which is great, so that you can cook your own food.
The location of the hotel is a few steps away from the bus station when coming from Odda or taking the shuttle to Trolltunga hiking start point. The interior is charming and the view from the lobby is incredible!
Unfortunately, we did not like much.
In general, the hotel did not meet the expectations.
However, what was positive:
+ Free parking spots available in front of the hotel.
+ Well located (for Trolltunga hikes).
+ Friendly and helpful staff.
+ The view on the mountains (while sitting, because the buildings in front of the hotel are less beautiful).
Hotel was at a very good location for Trolltunga hike. Good breakfast, very helpful staff. They did our laundry for free and in the morning they helped me to get some hot water into my thermo cup.
Tyssedal Hotel was the perfect base for our Trolltunga hike. The breakfast is terrific, with enough fruit, granola, yogurt, juice, coffee and eggs to fuel us for the day. It's close to the trailhead so we could take it easy in the morning. After out hike, we relaxed in our room and one of the solariums at the end of the hall before enjoying a delicious dinner of local foods: scallops, lamb, potatoes, vegetables, apple cake, and Opal. It was quiet in September and though Odda isn't far away, Tyssedal Hotel had everything we needed.
The staff member was great, specially the girls at the reception. Real nice, friendly and very helpful!
They gave us plenty of info for the hike to trolltunga and prepare the lunch box for us.
The apartments were really quite and confortable , perfect for resting after the hike.
Great location if you are planning to visit Trolltunga. Large apartments, comfortable beds. You can cook your own food, there is a stove and microwave. Heated bathroom floor. It is written that the check-in is until 22:00, we were driving from Bergen, but the road took longer than we planned. The hotel sent a payment link and check in instructions so we were able to check in after 22:00, which helped a lot and reduced the stress level :)
We had an apartment for two nights to use as a base for the Trolltunga hike, and it was ideal. Free parking, good Wi-Fi, easy check in/out. Pretty nice view. Plenty of space to move around - and to dry wet clothes!
Kitchen was well equipped (no toaster but there’s a grill) with a useful supply of salt/pepper/oil and tea/coffee/sugar.
They have a deal with the hotel nearby - a free glass of local cider and 10% off food in the restaurant.
Nice , rather big apartment with wonderful view to valley. Good equipped kitchen. Friendly owners who can give info re Trolltunga. The apartments are 3 level apart- hotel. Ours rooms were in -1 level, but as house is built on hill, you do not feel you are in basement - the views and wonderful.
