Book your time before you leave the country because you can't buy a ticket in person; only online. When you are in Amsterdam booking for VanGogh is challenging because of the security code that needs to be sent to your cell phone but rarely gets through because of issues connecting the phone. Basically booking once there is a nightmare.

Great for kids and grown ups! It is a unique experience of a unique painter. Well organised and keeping you interested until the last work of art. Souvenir shops are great too, with some unsuspected souvenirs to take home and use every day.

Try to go early or late to avoid the crowds. The museum allows people to take pictures of the pictures which makes it difficult for anyone else to appreciate the art. Otherwise, of course, Van Gogh is Van Gogh and always worth seeing and enjoying.

Make sure you book well in advance, many people were disappointed that the museum was booked out during their stay. It really is worth visiting. I would suggest late afternoon, in the hope that most people had been earlier as the morning was super busy and it was a bit hard to really appreciate a lot of the paintings due to numbers.

A lot to see and set out really good. We got the audio media but not really necessary as you can read in English the info of the audio pictures and the audio gives an impression of the paintings but I would rather form my own opinion. It really pays to book online as there were people trying to get a ticket and none were available for 3 days.

A must see. Give yourself plenty of time and consider going first thing in the morning or near closing time to avoid the crowds. Much of the works a better when you have time to view them without a million others being right there.

The hotel’s location was perfect — in a residential area just a two-minute walk from the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum. Staff provided good information on restaurants, transportation options, etc. The breakfast options were tasty and extensive, and priced very reasonably compared to restaurants nearby. But it was the hotel staff that really shined, from checking in with you at breakfast to ensuring that you knew about the “honor” pantry downstairs that had snacks, beer, wine and other beverages.
The location of this hotel is great. An easy 15 minute walk into the city center and a 10 minute walk to Van Gogh Museum. It is very close to Vondel Park as well. The bed was a good size for a single room. The staff, when they are around were very nice.
Very central location, easy walk to attractions we wanted to see and do (Van Gogh Museum, shopping, etc). Location is on a busy “square” in the Centrum area so can be noisy, but part of the charm for us!
I liked that Peter, concierge, was able to get us tickets at a good time to the Vincent van Gogh Museum. The room was wonderful with view of a canal. Bed was really comfortable. Great location for sightseeing.
The hotel is located right across the street from the Van Gogh museum, along with other major museums. Around the hotel are 2 small playgrounds that our kids enjoyed during our stay. It is close to major train lines and easy to get around. The staff is very helpful. We had our own exit.

Housekeeping very attentive. Quiet street 5 minutes from Van Gogh Museum and Vondelpark. Just a great stay made even better because of kind and caring staff. Has elevator!
