The building is incredibly well-preserved. While it maintains the ambiance of a historic monument, the rooms are impressively modern. The layout is thoughtfully designed, making the space feel much larger than it actually is. A spacious closet in the room is an added bonus. The bathroom’s modern design is striking, and the high-quality toiletries are a nice touch.
There’s even a pillow menu providing information on the current pillows on the bed, and you can request a third type if desired. By the way, the pillows are fantastic!
The staff is exceptionally friendly and always willing to help.

A small city, very nice and beautiful. specially around city center and channels. A lot of cafe and bars in the old town. The market is fun to visit and a lot of fresh and nice street foods available. overall it is a great destination for people who like city and short trip.

Hanze hotel is located in the city centre within walking distance of the train station as well as all shops, restaurants and bars etc. Check in was ok - the room was nice and clean. Even though it was in the city centre we didn't experience a lot of noise which was great. We were there on a Wednesday in July which is a popular day/night as it is Zwolle's Blauw Vinger Dag. We didn't know about that but it was fun; lots of market stalls, bands singing and performing etc. The weather was fab too. I would recommend.
Lovely hotel, with friendly, professional and helpful staff. Room was spacious and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast on the terrace was a real treat, we did eat in the very nice restaurant on the Saturday evening, taster menu was superb and the waiting staff were knowledgeable and very attentive.
Made use of the hotel bikes and explored Zwolle, a beautiful city.
Superb location in the old centre of Zwolle. Reasonably well equipped, although for our particular needs - not wanting to go out un the evening to crowded restaurants - the cooking facilities could have been better. The host responded quickly to a problem with the TV.
Clean, roomy rooms and staff who were friendly and helpful. A breath of fresh air with this hotel who understood service was it their raison d'existance.
