Did not know what to expect, but a blast from the past period furniture. The staff were accommodating and very friendly, all of the staff were professional and attentive. smiling faces. We had what was called bar snacks but was a meal, one of our party had a serious food allergy the kitchen and the manager arranged that food to be produced first so no cross contamination. If whiskey, whisky or craft beer is required the staff know their trade and a large stock to help select. Breakfast was of good quality thank you. Biker Friendly

Zwolle is a lovely vibrant friendly town, full of great bars, restaurants and shops and undoubtedly one of the best ice cream parlours I have ever visited. There are so many great spots, so much to do and it's so chilled.

The best cake and chocolates in the Netherlands at Bakkerij Lindeboom. Try my three favourites: Dark chocolate filled with 5-spice, dark chocolate with cardamom filling, and the milk chocolate filled with caramel and sea salt. Try the others too. Many are prize winning chocolates.

A small city, very nice and beautiful. specially around city center and channels. A lot of cafe and bars in the old town. The market is fun to visit and a lot of fresh and nice street foods available. overall it is a great destination for people who like city and short trip.

I had only the time to visit quickly the city center for a dinner. I was raining so we could not appreciate very much, but I am sure that the hystorical part of the city, for what I could have seen, is very interesting and charming. I'll try to visit it again in the future.
Although this was a very good location and close to the old city center, it was a very noisy place. It was a very warm evening and so the outdoor patios around the hotel were very busy until quite late. The hotel did, however, provide ear plugs. Coffee in the room was very good. Not sure we liked the electronic keys. One of the waitresses was very good about helping us understand the lack of check-in staff and the electronic key. The bar below the hotel was very old and had a lot of character.
The staff was helpful, the room and bath were well equipped.
The selection for the breakfast was lavish, as one would expect from such a large hotel.
The location of the hotel is really good for a visit to Zwolle's city center.
I would also highlight the extra effort of the hotel staff who was prepared for the guests leaving early - like us - despite the previous day was a national part/holiday (27th April).
The bunkbeds and the sheets were excellent! Like I was sleeping in a fancy hotel. Even the ability to charge your devices with every bed. Downtown the city and even with a nice bar and restaurant. And if you want to prepare your own meal, don't worry, there's also a fully equiped kitchen you can use. Great spot to explore the city.
