1. On 28/6, after arriving into your hotel, my husband and I went out as we cannot check in yet. Unfortunately my husband had a uncomfortable stomach ache and cannot control his bowel and soiled his pants all the way at the Junction of hardrock cafe. We managed to walk back to 1825 gallery hotel and hoping to seek some help from the staff to give us a towel and a bathroom for my husband to shower and wash away the bad small and wet bowel stains.
My request for a bathing area was rejected right away. Counter staff say No, they do not have such facilities for shower. I have to wait for my check in. Honestly, I'm disappointed with that. I have to open up my luggage to quickly get my hubby a towel and shower gel. He then went to the toilet cubicle at level G to wash himself.
2. Yesterday night time on 29/6, my husband had a fall in the toilet and hurt his elbow with blood covering his elbow. I call the receptionist and ask for help and first aid kit. After receiving the first aid kit box, the guy told me to be careful not to have any blood stain onto the bedsheet or blanket. Staff is not even showing his care and concern whether my hubby hurt himself badly or offer any medical assistance. What I received from staff is not to dirty the property of the hotel. I am shocked to hear your staff remarks.

Historic Melaka (or Malacca) is the capital of the Malaysian state of the same name, home to one of the country’s first sultanates. The replica of the sultan’s palace is one of the city’s top attractions.
The end of the sultanate came with the Portuguese conquest of Melaka in the 16th century. Reminders of this period include part of A Famosa fort, and there is also a fort built by the next settlers – the Dutch. Several Dutch churches also remain, including Christ Church with its pinkish façade.
Nowadays, Melaka is a melting pot of various cultures, and Chinese temples – such as wonderful Cheng Hoon Teng – sit happily alongside Hindu temples and mosques. The most spectacularly located of the latter is Masjid Selat (or Malacca Straits Mosque), on stilts above waters lapping an offshore island.
Many Melaka hotels on Booking.com are near the promenade lining the narrow city beach, and others are near more secluded beaches in the suburbs. The Melaka River splits the city into 2, and the further inland you travel along it, the more traditional the buildings become.
Just before the river’s first bend is Jonker Street, the heart of Chinatown and popular for its night markets, while a good few miles to the north is Melaka Airport in the Batu Berendam district.

Melaka is one of the top states in Malaysia, known for its tourism places. The city is almost similar like Penang. Sometimes I was confused thinking it's Penang street (old building architecture).
Please note that Kota A Famosa fortress was places on top of Melaka great mosque long time ago. The mosque was demolished by the Portuguese invaders. There were 25,000 Malay houses were burnt to the ground. Please consider this when visit. As Malaysian, nothing to be proud of.
The other places you can go are river cruise, river side at night, menara taming sari, uptown (night market), jonker walk, beca (please check price and how long/far the ride will be), putu piring, coconut shake Klebang or Batu Berendam, pantai pengkalan balak, kuih keria, ikan bakar Parameswara, Cafeology coffee shop, old building architecture, Zoo Melaka, Taman Buaya, Taman Rama-rama etc.

Great tourist hub with lot's of local foods and entertainment. Not really suitable for older people as most of the places were walking mode with unstable grounds. I would definitely go back but not in the public holiday season as I was stuck in my car for 2 hours for a 7km distance to the mall.

Good to spend at least 3 nights in Malacca.
Good to spend at least 3 nights in Malacca. We stayed in 3 different hotels with different experiences. Recommend to enjoy local food. Most of the places are within walking distance. A gentle reminder from local, major/main roads will be closed for cars to enter during weekends in the heart of Jonker streets.

The stay in Malacca was great for travelers who love to walk and get a feel of the heritage city. Even the architecture is amazing. The river walk provides plenty of opportunities for travelers to go drink at the bars in the night, walk on Jonker street, and finally try out the river cruise. In the noon, you can take a look at the beach, The Stadthuys, and A'Famosa. Food options are definitely not limited to Asam Pedas and steamboat but also Cafe's and Bars too. Given the strategic location of my hotel, getting around Malacca was easy. Be wary that I used a private vehicle (a car) so I am unable to comment on the ease of other transportation methods such as Grab/Uber. The public transportation is unavailable unfortunately. I did not see any buses/bus stops around. Please avoid riding the rickshaws when offered due to it's overprice and loud music for a short ride around town. You could enjoy the walk rather than pay for a short and worthless ride
The building is gorgeous and newly renovated. It's steps away from Jonker street and is one of the beautiful Malacca heritage houses. Close to all the happening spots. Staff is lovely, breakfast was great, its served in the sister hotel Heeren Palms so we got to enjoy two properties. The house keeping fellow was impressive. He did a fabulous job.I would return happily again. Don't have enough leave this year... 😭
This is not our first time staying in Hotel Puri Malacca, we always book this hotel when we are panning to Malacca for vacation. Beautiful hotel, vintage with historic feel. It provides car park for their guests & well equipped with CCTV with security monitoring the car park. Good location in the heart of Jonker street. Highly recommended 👍
Love that the hotel were near the shopping malls(Dataran Pahlawan and Makhota Parade). Jonker Walk was also within 20 to 30 mins walk from the hotel. Definitely would want to be back again on a trip to Malacca to visit all the historical sites.
- Room space is big
- Parking in front of hotel
- Walking distance to A Famosa Port, Mahkota Prade and Dataran Pahlawan
- Friendly staff, as they help tourist by answering some enquiries regarding Malacca.
Location is great, pool is great, gym is ok, skyroof restaurants is great. There is mall attached to hotel at ground floor, malacca river & mortem traditional village just next to the hotel.
