Great location, the place had a nice vibe, had everything we needed.
How about a history lesson over a cup of cocoa? This one-time Livonian Order castle now houses the Latvian Agriculture University, where the modern recipe for hot chocolate was invented. You can sip on a mug of sweet stuff and take a tour of the Baroque-style palace, visiting former imperial quarters from centuries past, plus crypts that hold 18 restored royal sarcophagi.

The best service I received while traveling through Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. The host assisted me with everything: laundry, hot water, and finding places to eat. Jelgava is a hidden gem. The town has a homemade candy factory and a pine cone factory. You should visit — this hostel is easy to locate near the railway station. I also visited the Rundāles Palace, Jelgava Palace, and the watchtower where I spot the wild horses.
Large room with high ceiling and diffuse light. Proper place to store and hang your clothes. Prime location facing the river and Jelgava Palace, a short stroll to attractions. Sound-proof rooms. Lots of parking places. Very comfy bed and lovely sheets. Very good breakfast.
