This property is quite unusual . Its reception is on the 7 th floor and when you exit the lift , look out the huge picture window : there’s that fabulous volcano . What an impressive & formidable sight . Hotel is well located across from the station , so grabbed a taxi to ferry terminal , ferry over , hour bus viewing of Island & stops along the way & special volcano viewing from 4 th platform . Ferry back & used local transport to return to hotel . Ferry ride less than 250 yen & Is. bus same….. fabulous sunset Changed city view room to Island view .
Room ok size , comfortable bed ,

Clean and tidy, helpful staff, and central to city
Hotel Hokke Club is right next to Takamibaba Tram Station and offers modern rooms with free WiFi, an LCD satellite TV and a private bath. It features a hot public bath and a buffet restaurant.
This lovely hotel was within walking distance of Kagoshima Chuo Station. It was spotlessly clean, the room was spacious, the bed very comfortable and the staff very accommodating and friendly. The electronic check in was amazing for a small hotel.
The location of the hotel was very convenient - it is connected to the Kagoshima Chuo station, which made commuting very easy.
The view of Sakurajima from the hotel room itself was also great!
The room itself was quite standard-sized for a comparable Japanese hotel, and the room was clean. No complaints there at all. Staff was friendly!
Very clean and considered spacious with 2 double beds! The area is very quiet and the room is quite soundproof. I love the double security at the door and check-in was quite smooth. The location is good too, It's just less than 5 minutes walk from the kagoshima chuo station and convenient store just nearby.
The location is very good, really close to Kagoshima chuo station. The bed was comfortable, with an outlet to charge my phone and a curtain for privacy. The people are friendly and accommodating. I could leave my luggage there after the check-out to enjoy the city a bit more.
Onsen was really nice but beware, water is very hot, 42 degrees C. There is also a cold water pool :-) The breakfast was really good. Location is quite convenient, in the middle of the shopping district, half way between the Kagoshima Chuo station and the port. The weather did not play along so we could not even see the volcano.
3-4 minutes from Kagoshima chuo station. Right in the middle of town, shops and restaurants are aplenty.
Staff were very nice and made me feel welcome. Works pretty well.
They had a great French hotel employee. He showed me the room and gave a superb service in general. I could asked him everything about the hotel and Kagoshima (and did a lot). The view from the hotel Onsen was amazing and I found out the hotel was also known for that by local people. Breakfast was western style and Japanese. Everything fresh and very good. Biggest plus: every hour there is a free shuttle service bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Chuo station. I used it every day.
A nice apartment located very close to the tram station, and 20 mins of walk from the Kagoshima Chuo station.
The apartment was very large compared to what hotels in Japan made me used to. It was clean and comfortable. Definitely worth its price.
For ¥3000 in Central Kagoshima you can't expect much. The hotel is a 1980s business hotel trying to upgrade to a hostel. Check-in staff were welcoming with lobby containing a bar.Stayed in double room on the fifth floor. Appears to be undergoing upgrade. Own toilet in room but no hot water for shower. (Knew bathroom was share type when booking room.)Shower rooms on 3rd floor are modern and clean.
Close to entertainment and shopping but a bit far from Kagoshima Chuo station..(tram ¥170)
