I love this place and I want to come back again! The rooms are spacious and clean and the kitchen is well stocked. My family was a little blown away by the luxury (the fridge is huge). The highlight of course is the view from the living room which overlooks Mt Yotei. Since it was raining the entire time we were in Niseko we made good use of the facilities (onsen, gym) which are very well-maintained. The breakfast buffet was delicious too with a good variety.

Room quite big and have private bathroom. Complete with toilet towel & amenities. Have window so that you can see outside view that filled with with powder around this hotel (if you come during winter).
Variety of delicious breakfast prepared, just need to inform on nighy before what time you want to eat your breakfast.

With so much of Niseko now fancy new apartment buildings and hotels, Grandpapa is a welcome old-school style ski lodge. Super friendly / helpful staff, comfortable rooms / beds, and a free shuttle bus that gets you to the Hirafu Gondola for 8am. It's also less than 10mins walk from most of the Hirafu restaurants and bars (and 2 mins from the famous Fridge Bar), but on a nice quiet street, so you get the best of both worlds. Very reasonably priced too!

The Chalet Ivy is a very nice hotel in Niseko, located very conveniently near the Hirafu Gondola. We enjoyed our recent stay there - the staff were friendly and accommodating, the room was spacious (especially by Japanese standards), very clean and the facilities were all very good. The hotel kindly provides shuttle services to/from Kutchan as well as the the Welcome Center and Gondola.
The location is within easy walking distance to Lawsons, Gondola street and the Hirafu intersection. A 12 minute walk to the Hirafu Gondola. There is also a great restaurant right next door and Izakaya within 50m.
We loved that we were met from the bus and taken to the property. The apartment was HUGE for Japan. There was a key code rather than key which was great for a family of 5 - nobody had to worry about remembering the key. Great space to chill out, fully stocked kitchen, washer/dryer...couldn't get much closer to the Hirafu gondola - fabulous stay!! Also steps away from Rhythm where we hired gear so v convenient.
Shuttle busses every 30 minutes to/from Hirafu Welcome Center and Hirafu Gondola. That's very convenient!

Great winter lodging right in the middle of Hirafu village. Close to main bus stop, restaurants and convenience stores. Its also around a 20-30 minute walk uphill to the main Hirafu gondola/dot base building where you can get lift tickets and ski-hire.
The owner also provides free shuttle bus to the slopes every day in the morning.
Room was extremely spacious for only two of us, heater was very warm and toasty.
