Beds were the most comfortable we had in our whole trip to Japan. Views from rooms at the front to the water were stunning. We were surprised there was a train line passing right beside the hotel at the back, but the room seemed to be very well sound proofed & we weren't disturbed by the few trains that passed on our overnight stay.

The room is super spacious, the buffet dinner offers a very varied choice of dishes and all of very good quality. On top of that: good coffee free of charge in the reception room at breakfast time.
At the time we were there, the hotel was mostly frequented by locals, which added another dimension of charm and authenticity.

Very kind and helpful staff. Conveniently located close to the station. Convenience store almost outside the front door. Road Station and Crustacean museum a short walk away, fishing tackle store across the road. Beautiful onsen at the Marriott Hotel open to the public. Good value for money hotel, recommended.

Very beautiful temple in the middle of the forest. I booked the sutra copying and the meditation in the morning and both were extremely enlightening and fascinating.
