Incredible experience from start to finish. I only stayed one night, but I felt immediately at home and could not have been happier. The private, in-room onsen was the highlight of the room without question. Such a wonderful way to unwind and I spent hours in there. They keep the onsen very hot, hotter than most I've been to, but it's easy to add cold water to cool it down and if you go too far, a call to the front desk will have hot water piping back in. I enjoyed soaking while watching the snow fall through the open window - and was very comfortable!
The room was extremely spacious with sliding partitions for each area, so if traveling with a partner or family, it would be easy to create privacy when needed. In-room amenities were great. Nice lotions, soaps, etc. Lighting in the room was very nice - I believe about 6 different settings you can choose from to create the mood you're looking for.
The meals were absolutely top notch and unforgettable, both the dinner and breakfast. I can't say enough good things but the food surpassed all my expectations. Simply lovely.
Checking in and out was very smooth and simple. It was easy to catch a taxi from directly outside Tobu Nikko station and when it was time to leave, the staff called a taxi for me.

The hotel was located across from the beautiful Chuzenji lake with very convenient public transportation. We were able to walk to the famous Kegon waterfalls and enjoyed the quaint small town vibe and amazing scenery, especially on the windy bus ride down to main town to visit the UNESCO sites.
The half board breakfast and dinner were delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful.
We had a delightful two-night stay at the hotel where the staff warmly welcomed us, making us feel right at home. The food was exceptional, and we would enthusiastically suggest this hotel for a refreshing getaway from city life.
Accessing the hotel from Nikko station was straightforward, and it boasts a splendid view of Chuzenji Lake.
Very calm environment, quiet and dark at night. The room and living space is comfortable and clean. Near to bus station (3 mins walk) and Chuzenji Lake Bus Terminal (10 min walk, more bus back to Nikko station). There's also a small local supermarket near the hostel, offering cheap bentos and food ingredients. Owner is a guide, so you can learn more about the environment of Nikko.
Cozy, intimate service. Cheerful and pleasant staff. A great plave for rest and relax, away from crowd....easy access to Kegon Waterfalls n Chuzenji Lake.
The location is excellent for any traveler who would like to explore between Chuzenji Lake and Oku-Nikko, as it sits right besides the lake and bus stops;
The owner is very nice and friendly. Despite my late arrival, she kindly provides information about the area, e.g. restaurants nearby that still open at night.
very helpful host..i was asking about kayaking at Chuzenji lake and he help me to arrange immediately. He also allow me to use the room till after check out time till my departure to the next destination.

Great location next to Chuzenji Lake with a nice view. A bus station is nearby and major attractions are within walkable distance (10 to 30 minutes).
The room itself contains essential items and was clean, overall a great price for a convenient location.
