It was an amazing experience. We did not realize that we could not go up with the car (you need 4x4 SUV/Jeep). we got picked up by the owner. Enjoyed the amazing views the way up. Once at the refuge you have a great view from the restaurant over Sestriere. The room was fabulous. The food great. Local products. So happy we got to this nice place and meet nice people.

This place is sick! Nice rooms, accommodating reception, and a great spot. Super worth the cost as well because the breakfast is massive beings bike packers, we took a lot for lunch on the road. They have a safe spot for your bike too. Oh and they have an awesome lobby with couches where they play super odd music videos.

Sesteiere is a delightful town high up in the mountains.
Sesteiere is a delightful town high up in the mountains. Ours was a summer visit; we enjoyed the town which has some good restaurants and bars (especially Pinky's!), good walks, and a great gondola to the top of the mountain with wonderful views. We particularly enjoyed the proximity to other small towns in the area, all overflowing with flowers - surely this is the petunia capital of the world! We can't comment on Sestriere in winter, but as a summer location, we would definitely recommend it to all age groups.

Sestriere is a ski resort on the Col de Sestriere. Hotel du Col is in the main street. When I stayed there (late June) parking was free, apparently charges start in July.
Modern, comfortable hotel room.
Hotel du Col has its own restaurant, or plenty of pizzas, restaurants etc just across the street.

Great slopes for beginners so suited our family group. Not all the lifts or pistes were open, and it was the same when we were there in January. This was disappointing as there was plenty of snow for our Easter break.

Perfect for a mixed skilled family skiing group! 1.5 hour drive from Turin Airport. The resort is compact enough to walk around with all facilities in the area, we will definately return! Good skiing, had a lesson, apres ski and food great too. Slopes safe and well maintained. Had delicious generous portioned pizza/burger meals at Kovo which also shows SKY sports. also ate at Pinky Food and drinks, great pastas! Also ate at local family restaurantand a scenic outdoor restaurant, will add the names later!

Lovely resort. Quiet when we stayed. Le Lei and Baby are great restaurants in town. Best restaurant in town is found through entering building where Farmacia Jayme is - walk into building, past the pharmacy entrance on right, and it is at the end of the corridor on your left (past a little toy shop). Great food, fantastic staff.
Sestriere is small and easy to get around. Good Carrefour supermarket on main strip.
the food was great, especially the dinners. Wide selection of traditional Italian dishes.
The apartment was spacious and could easily fit our family of 4. It was properly cleaned everyday to high standards.
The hotel location is great for skiing just a very short walk from the lifts and slopes.
The breakfast was included in the room price and was very good, with lovely croisants et very good beacon.
The restaurant at the Hotel is good but with very little choice.The location is nice, but with a construction nearby.
Breakfast was great, lost of variety and delicious pastries and bread. Close to the ski resort but a little far from the slopes if you have to bring all gear back to the hotel. It's uphill and a slight trek which is tiring.
