The hotel is dated needs refurbishment but the staff is great and location is also very good. The stairs at the entrance was also not a positive thing for the hotel.

Lovely room with a view over Piazza della Repubblica , felt like we were stepping back in time, but with all the mod cons. Location was excellent. Nothing too much trouble for the staff. We had an early train to catch, hotel staff phoned and booked a taxi for us and gave us a breakfast bag each to go, it was excellent, Yoghurt, Croissant, bottle of juice and a piece of fruit. We would highly recommend Hotel Pendini.

Ponte Vecchio
Peruse the shops perched above the River Arno on this pedestrian bridge. Dating back to 972, its history is the stuff of storybooks. Ponte Vecchio’s seen it all from noble feuds to ruinous floods. Once a market where vendors sold meat, the smell of raw flesh tossed in the Arno disgusted the Medici dukes. Today’s retailers are much less carnivorous (they’re jewellers).

The Ponte Vecchio is a must when visiting Florence. The shops are varied and interesting. Make time to pause for a cocktail (or gelato) and watch the variety of people walking across this famous landmark.

Ponte Vecchio is an amazing spot to buy jewelry from jewelers that have been in the business for centuries. The price of gold is standardized so not much point going from each place to ask about the price of gold, instead find a store that specializes in what you're looking for and has the style you like. Some places specialize in gems, others gold, others vintage pieces.

Go really early for great photos without crowds or sunset and night. Bellisimo. Be careful when walking over the bridge in the day as it gets very crowded and artists put their drawings on the ground and if you walk on it, you buy it!

You have to buy something from 18-karat gold here☺️! It’s not cheap but gold is tradition in Florence ( and leather). But be prepared that it’s only not crowded in the morning (when only few shops are open though).

Our hotel was adjacent to this attraction so we had a daily view of it. The photo shown by booking.com does not resemble what it looked like in December. The bridge itself is wall to wall jewellery shops. A good time to visit is before or after they close. The shop fronts change back to the original wooden frontage and makes for a good photo.

Since I visited Florence four times in the 21 years, I know enough where to choose as accomandation. On our last visit, we took an apartment on the southern side of the river, the Bridge was just below our window. The city view is both fantastic and classic. It is the apartment with almost the same view of the location of the "hotel room" where the film "Room with a view" was shot. It is like a dream coming true.

It really is just a charming hotel is a great location near the Ponte Vecchio. The staff are incredibly friendly. Breakfast is only €8pp and you get a lovely, simple Italian style breakfast (coffee, water, juice, pastry, small sandwich) - you really don’t need more and it’s delicious. Weekdays it’s provided by the cafe next door. The rooms were comfortable, there was a kettle in the room for tea and a coffee machine accessible 24 hours for you in reception (coffee was amazing!). I would absolutely stay here again.
Breakfast options were great.
The hotel is a little out of the town centre but great for visiting the Doumo (15mins) and Ponte Vecchio (20 mins). The female receptionist was lovely so kind and helpful.
The hotel is ideally situated just a 100 meters or so from the Ponte Vecchio. The garage recommended was about 150M from the hotel and was welcoming and efficient. The room was perfect and nicely quirky. The reception staff were all welcoming friendly and veery helpful.
I had an amazing stay at Hotel De Lanzi in Florence! The location is absolutely perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the major attractions. Whether it’s the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, or Ponte Vecchio, everything is just a short walk away. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going out of their way to ensure we had a comfortable stay. The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, making it a great place to unwind after a day of exploring. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Florence!
Very spacious apartment with two good sized bedrooms. All the amenities you need for a stay in Florence. Great location in Santo Spirito, close to all the action and the Pitti Palace, Ponte Vecchio, restaurants and bars etc. Overall, a great apartment, styled and furnished well.
Located just 100m on the south side of the Ponte Vecchio bridge, this was a perfect place to stay during our 4 days in Florence. The apartment was spacious and well equipped.
Lots of bars, shops and restaurants on your doorstep and the main historic centre is just 5-10 mins east stroll away.
Valentina was a fantastic host, we had very good comms throughout.
We will definitely return to Florence and we’ll check this apartment is available first!.
Can't beat the location, very central to all of the main attractions, half way between the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio and only a few minutes walk to both. The room was very nicely decorated. We also liked that it was a boutique hotel with only a handful of rooms. Also had a lift (unlike many other places in Italy) but it was just as easy to take the stairs as it was only on the first floor.
The apartment was incredible- it’s so full of history and the size is much bigger than expected. The location is perfect as it’s just a 2 second walk through a lovely piazza to the famous ponte vecchio. Would have loved to stay longer as we only did the on night in Florence.
Everything! Location so close to Ponte Vecchio, apartment was beautiful, clean and well appointed. The washing machine is a huge win when you’ve been travelling.
Gianni was the most lovely host ever! He spent lots of time with us showing us local recommendations and also a Golf Buggy trip with a discount - which was a highlight for us. Absolutely recommend to anyone staying in Florence. Will be telling my friends.
Thank you Gianni and Barbara! We so appreciate your hospitality.
These were magical days in Florence. The hotel is located in the very center of Florence, near the famous Ponte Vecchio. There is a wonderful rooftop restaurant with delicious food and a stunning view of the city's main landmarks. The staff deserves the highest praise. The hotel is clean and cozy. If we visit Florence again, we will definitely stay here with great pleasure.
