Lovely once inside the complex. Pool area and restaurant lovely. Good facilities including like extras like tissues in the room. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Enjoyed our evening meal and superb breakfast provided.

Breakfast was satisfactory thoughwe would have preferred a greater choice of fruit. This was not unusual. It seems that Italian breakfasts revolve mainly around bread/croissants and cakes!
The Shalai is set in the historic centre of Linguaglossa, a nice Sicilian village within easy reach of Catania and Mount Etna. Rooms here offer soft colours, warm lights and natural textiles.
Offering a private beach area, La Porta delle Gole is set in Motta Camastra. Free private parking is available on site. Every room at this guest house is air conditioned and has a TV.

La Porta Delle Gole is the perfect spot when you want to visit the Alacantara valley without driving far and staying in a city. We had a rental car so the spot was easy to reach with great parking and it was so quiet and situated in a beautiful garden that we regretted not staying longer. The owner welcomed us warmly, gave us some water, showed us around and gave us some great recommendations.
