The staff were extremely courteous and considerate. The location is right in New market, chowringhee, flurry's and indian national museus and close to all the iconic north calcutta heritage sights. It's even close to the only existing tram depot. PRIYANSHU in guest relations helped us a lot and DIKI who did our rooms housekeeping was magical and amazing
The location of this hotel is very convenient. Walking distance from the New market, Marquis street and park street. The price that I got during my stay was great with breakfast. Recommended for short stays in Kolkata.
All the staff is very polite and helpful . I enjoyed staying with them 😊. Me and my wife had a lovely time just next to the new market . If you like to do lots of shopping and eat fresh food stay here as it's very close to all places . Just 10 min walk all you need .

Location is very busy and road is very, very, busy. However it is centrally located in the heart of New Market.
Location is central and near by city centre. Like 20 minutes walking distance to new market. , 2 minutes walking distance to marquis street,
1 minutes walking distance to park Street. Many Restaurants, Bar, SPA around the property.
Staff behaviour also okay. Family environment.
The Astor is a lovely heritage hotel in a quieter part of Kolkata, than say, New Market, but is still only a 10-minute walk to central Park Street. There are some goods shops and restaurants around.
The buffet breakfast and eggs cooked to order were very good, as was the food in the dining room. The ambience of the dining room is beautiful olde world charm.
The Staff were polite and helpful, and enabled us to have an early check-in, so we had a drink in the dining room, whilst the room was being made up.
