Great stay at the fantastic Oriel House hotel in beautiful Ballincollig. Friendly staff, excellent facilities, comfortable rooms and great food too. Only a short bus ride to Cork city too which is a big plus for somebody that doesn't drive. Stayed at the property a few times now, and will definitely be returning again!

Breakfast is great - lots of variety and quality/healthy food. The rooms are massive compared to other places I have stayed in Cork city (e.g. you couldn't swing a cat in the rooms in the Dean). There are indoor and outdoor pools (the latter is heated and especially nice in very cold weather) and the gym is very good compared to most hotel gyms (lots of strength/cardio equipment in fairly good condition, and lots of space for free weights, classes etc.). Parking on-site/underground - so handy and again not something every hotel in Cork city has. The little coffee area at the back has a lovely view of the river - a nice spot to read a book and have a coffee. The reception staff are super friendly and welcoming, as are the staff in the bar/breafast area. I've stayed here a few times for work in the last year and, having stayed in loads of other hotels in Cork over the years, I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Cork city now - it's always very easy/nice/stress-free.

Bed’s were very comfortable, and service was great.
The breakfast was delicious and the service was prompt. When you walk into the hotel, it smelled fresh and the decor was welcoming and very pretty. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had dinner at Christys Bar that is on the property, and it was absolutely delicious. Great service. The property had plenty of parking and an easy walk to the Blarney Stone Castle. Highly recommend.
This is a very good hotel very close to one of Ireland’s most famous things you must do. Kiss the ‘Blarney Stone’ at Blarney Castle. Breakfast, which was included in the room rate, was very very good. 👍👏. The facilities for dining at other times very good also. Overall, a very good hotel to stay at. It is a value for money establishment.
It was a beautifully renovated hotel (originally a mill) within a complex of a restaurant, pub and huge shop which sold elegant clothes, Irish knitwear,rugs/throws, gifts and houseware. The rooms were spacious with high ceilings. The food was excellent and not expensive. It was within walking distance to Blarney Castle (with the famous Blarney Stone).Parking was extensive and free. The staff were efficient and charming. We really enjoyed our stay there and I was able to buy all my souvenirs in one session.
