The service from the staff was impeccable from the moment we walked into the lobby. They were warm and always attentive. We ordered room service and ate at the restaurant and the food was always delicious! The afternoon tea was a nice treat with a beautiful view of the sunset. We loved that there was a water machine in our room in addition to bottled water. Everything was perfect.

Pretty close with Borobudur area, we can reach by walking. The location is well designed and neat. The area is cool and close to rice fields. The room feels like a private villa (one room/building). Free to use the bicycle. The staff is very good, informative and very helpful. We can enjoy breakfast in the gazebo with natural views. Property photos are accurate to the real one.

I'd recommend visiting this fantastic place early in the morning. Less crowded, better light for photography, cooler than during the day, less chance of getting wet with a spell of rain. You can have breakfast after the visit at one of the foodstalls (warung) located at the exit of the site.

Borobudur temple is incredible, however the price they are charging to enter is well overpriced. We were a family of 4 and felt the right price should have been more like $50 rather then close to $150. Our thought is that they are running the risk of pricing themselves away from being a must do destination as the town its self is certainly not a destination town worth spending much time in from our mind

The place is a peaceful retreat, close to Borobudur Temple. The breakfast was delicious, the room and bed extremely comfortable. The ambiance was great and best for last the host and her staff. Siska, the owner, helped us to get tickets for a Javanese Ballet performance at Prambanan Temple and provided us with an exceptional driver, Agus, who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and drove us around showing us the best places and a spectacular sunrise.
The staff is so kind, providing more information and helpful. Connecting us with a local guide to have a photographer and car tour. This is also close to Borobudur Temple. I can go there by walking. I would say the place is quite strategic. The fried rice has a nice taste, delicious!

We love all their services.Arranged transport to do tour as we were very convenience as we have child. They upgraded us to bigger room as well. Nice traditional looking villa w. all the modern comforts. A bathroom the size of your average hotel room. 3 x 7 m private pool on a immaculately gardened yard walled in from three sides and with a great view of the Menorah hills over the pool resulting in complete privacy.
All the staff was extremely attentive and the service impeccable. The Patio restaurant is great and has a great view of the Borobudur temple as do some of the villas. Also, from a western point of view great value for money.
Top-notch hospitality, all the staff were friendly and helpful. The Javanese architecture was beautiful. Overlooking the village and Borobudur temple.
There were plenty of vegetarian dishes to choose from and they were delicious - though one dish marked as vegetarian had anchovies, not a problem for me and easy to separate from the dish. The Dadar Gulung - Indonesian coconut pancakes were delicious.
The Guesthouse is well-located, full of street food anywhere and really close to Borobudur Temple. Owner is super-kind and polite and helped me a lot!
This homestay is really worth it!
Jolan was welcoming us well. Perhaps the hospitality and welcoming from the staffs can be improved. They need proper office to work for their professional staffs. Our first impression of the Villa was okay. But with the given price, there are other hotels at the area that provide better facilities. The location to borobudur temple is only 5-10 mins drive.
Location is great in a quiet area but not too far from Borobudur temple. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was artistically furnished and comfortable. Shower was powerful and the hot water was great.
Breakfast was adequate with 1 choice of main course and other choices of cakes, fruit, coffee, tea.
The hotel arranged a sunrise watch at Punthuk Setumbu at a reasonable transport cost of around US 10 + entrance tickets.
