This is the main gate - just outside is the starting/ending point for many of the city's bus routes so it all happens here. The downside is that it is also very busy. You access the walls to walk around from this gate entrance (on you left as you come into the city)

When you enter the old City from this gate , third street on your left ( Palmoticeva) and up the stairs the first on your right is a gorgeous vegan restaurant called Nishta! One of the best vegan places💓

Pile gate very nice, unfortunately there is an unpleasant smell all day - most likely because of the sewage system. At the gate there is a stop for all city bus lines and probably some suburban lines.
This was a superb location for a stay in Dubrovnik — just outside the Pile Gate. Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, from the excellent breakfasts to helping get us oriented to Dubrovnik to providing us rain ponchos. They even helped us get to the hotel after a late arrival at the airport. Our room was lovely and spacious, and despite convenient proximity, it was very quiet.
Mario and Mel were great! We very much appreciated their hospitality and kindness. They were very responsive whenever we messaged them through booking.com. They were very accommodating to our needs and requests. The washer/dryer was a great help! The apartment was on the second floor so not a lot of stairs to climb. The location was 2-3 minutes walk to/from the Pile gate entrance into Old Town Dubrovnik. We would definitely book this property again and recommend it to our friends and family if they ever plan to visit Dubrovnik.
This was the perfect place to stay during our trip to Dubrovnik. The apartment was very close to Pile gate just outside the walls of the old city, a 5 minute walk. The apartment had nice modern decor, was spacious and clean. Ivan was very accommodating with a few things that we needed to make our stay more comfortable. Communication was excellent. I highly recommend this apartment, you won’t be disappointed!!
Lovely place, very clean and tidy, the hosts are warm and really loveable. Great location, close to walking tour starting points or public transport (Pile Gate) but still secluded enough so you have peace and quiet in the night. It's also a reasonable walk to Banje beach. We stayed at the top floor apartment and you have a nice view of Dubrovnik's roofs from there.
Sea Rocks Residence is convieniently located near the Pile Gate. We had easy access to the Old City of Dubrovnik.

Location is ideal, just outside Pile gate. Far enough away from the crowds, but close enough to be in a bar or restaurant in 5 minutes. Great places to get breakfast close by. Small supermarket and takeaway pizza a short walk away. The apartment is small but clean, modern, and quite stylish. Everything worked perfectly - good shower. It's positioned close to a really beautiful little bay, where you can sit and have cocktails in the evening. If I ever come back to Dubrovnik, I'll stay here again.
This apartment was in a perfect location, a quick walk to Pile gate and the many attractions of Dubrovnik. The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The host was very responsive and provided access easily. We would definitely recommend this apartment.
Saska is super hospitable and nice. She is very thoughtful and always be there to offer us more. The apartment is well decorated with taste, clean and organized. It makes me feel more like home, we have everything we need in the apartment. The location is great, 30mins walk to pile gate, with stroller and my 3-year old. Definitely will come again if we have the chance to visit Dubrovnik again.
The apartment is in a perfect location to explore Dubrovnik. It’s on the 1st floor with an easy 5 minute walk from Pile Gate where a taxi can drop you off very easily. Communication with the host was very easy & they provided directions & information. The facilities were great for us as 2 adults & 2 children with more than enough space in the center of a city. All city places to visit could be walked to.
Apartment Sensa is a wonderful apartment, just a short 10 min walk from Pile Gate / old town. It's a clean and comfortable apartment (just like in the pics) in a quiet neighborhood. The apartment was very well equipped and had everything we needed for a family stay. Air conditioning worked great (much needed in summer) and even the sofa bed was comfortable to sleep on. We would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment super close to old town Dubrovnik!
