I recently had the pleasure of staying at this fantastic hotel in Chania, Crete, and I can’t praise Samauthe and her team enough. From the moment I arrived, they made me feel welcome and truly valued as a guest.
Samauthe’s warm hospitality set the tone for my stay. She was incredibly attentive, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Whether it was recommending local dining spots or arranging activities, her knowledge of the area was invaluable. The team mirrored her dedication, always ready with a smile and a genuine willingness to assist.
The hotel itself was stunning, with beautiful accommodations But it was the exceptional service that truly made my experience unforgettable. Every interaction with Samauthe and her team felt personal, and their passion for hospitality shone through.

Such a nice feeling in the town. Lovely shops and many long term tenants . Great food and small markets to get supplies close by. Harbor a short walk away. Enjoyed Nelson’s 3 hour trip to 2 island’s with snorkeling and swimming at the second island .
The Vegan Pulse restaurant was excellent. we ate there 3 x and neither of us are entirely vegan , just enjoy eating plant based close by !

I used Chania as a base to visit, with a car, various places on the Western part of Crete but was happy one day to take an organized tour of Knossos and Heraklion to avoid the traffic. My dinner at the Well of the Turk in Chania was tasty but the best was at Parasia Taverna just West of Vamos 28km from Chania. Old Town Chania is very walkable and the small streets to explore were fun.

Beautiful port town in Crete with a heap of great restaurants and amazing food.
A great place to stay and explore this very large island.
Great weather and nice beaches to cater for everyone.
There are a great many tourists especially during summer which can be bit of a negative as it can overwhelm the local flavour of this place.
Overall, a great experience.

Chania is a beautiful and picturesque town.
Chania is a beautiful and picturesque town. It's worth visiting and exploring all the back streets and watching the sunset over the water. It's a Venetian-style town and the Cretans have done an excellent job of restoring the old buildings. Well done.

The Old Town was lovely to wander around and have a meal.
The Old Town was lovely to wander around and have a meal. We liked Golden Beach which was nearby, with pretty good facilities and lovely clear sea. Driving around and parking was not for the faint hearted, but it was easy to travel in by taxi in the evening.
I had a very pleasant stay at Hyperion Hotel in Chania, Crete. The hotel is quite new, and the bedroom was spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable, contributing to a restful sleep. The staff were very nice and accommodating, even allowing us to use the locker rooms to change after we checked out before heading to the airport. The hotel's location is great, close to a local beach, which is convenient for a quick swim in the ocean. Overall, it’s a pretty good hotel with excellent amenities and service.
This is the best hotel I’ve ever stayed in! it’s perfectly located in Old Town Chania right by the port, the street is lively at night but the room is completely quiet. The bed is incredibly comfortable, the room smells SO GOOD and the staff are so kind, helpful and responsive! The amenities are great and the breakfast included was the best I’ve had from a hotel. I would travel back to Chania all the way from New Zealand just to relax at Aisha Petite Suites again. 10/10
We stayed in apartment no 2. The apartment was very clean and very modern with Side Sea view. Air conditioning was perfect, kitchen has almost everything. Location is not bad it is little bit outside the Chania town, which we think is better because in the town parking is a night mare. Make sure to rent a car for this apartment and try to get a small car not like us a sedan which was another pain for us. Parking long car is difficult in Crete.
I had an incredible stay at Epavlis Boutique Hotel in Chania. The location was perfect, just a short walk from the old town, yet peacefully tucked away. The room was beautifully designed, with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast beside the pool was a highlight, with fresh, local produce. Overall, it was a perfect blend of everyday luxury, comfort, and authentic Cretan hospitality.
