The staff were WONDERFUL. We arrived from the cruise ship in the morning and they held our luggage so we could experience the Acropolis, etc. They gave us many recommendations and told us how to find everything. We needed to leave for the airport at 3:45 am and they made arrangements for our cab. We had 3 different staff persons we interacted with and ALL were exceptional.
The property is small with a rooftop patio offering fantastic view of the Acropolis. The cab driver said we were on the good side as it is much quieter. So easy to access the cafes and restaurants on foot. The parkway was filled with artists displays, street musicians, and outdoor cafe/ restaurant seating for blocks. Great weekend ambiance.
We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the Acropolis Suite, which was spacious, with 2 balconies giving us a 360-degree view of the city. We could also see the Acropolis from bed!
The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was modern with plenty of hot water and good pressure. The unit was well thought out with lots of outlets and USB ports for charging. I loved having the mirror and sink separate from the shower (and the toilet was separate from both) making it easy to get ready (there was also a full length mirror in the room). We used the small refrigerator and appreciated having coffee in the room, even though we were able to step out of our room into the breakfast area. There were one or two tables in the breakfast area (which is below the Acropolis Suite) that had an Acropolis view, but we let others have those since we had the best view possible from our room. The entrance is off an alley, but there are a few lively restaurants in the alley, so it never felt secluded. There are steps up to the entrance, and the elevator is tiny, but this didn’t bother us at all. We loved the Psyri neighborhood!! It was amazing to just walk out and have dozens of restaurants and bars to choose from, but our room was very quiet. We walked to all the major attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, and I have to give a particular shout out to Armando, who not only arranged our transport to the airport (and then changed it for us when we decided to leave later), but on one day we were leaving early for an excursion and were going to miss breakfast. By the time I thought of telling him it was pretty late the night before. Armando went above and beyond by personally preparing some sandwiches to go and bringing them to our room so we wouldn’t go hungry. There is also a Hammam in the building that would have been nice to try. This hotel made our visit to Athens extraordinary. We’d 100% stay here again in the Acropolis Suite.

We got there at night, and the area looked sketchy... but turns out it's a fabulous up and coming area. Location was great! Our spacious room had a modern loft vibe, which we loved! Would highly recommend having breakfast on the roof-deck, just glorious views and setting.

Lovely boutique hotel. The only downside is, on Friday and Saturday there is a ginormous party in the streets surrounding the hotel. It doesn’t end until 6 AM. So despite double windows and doors and earplugs, there is no sleep to be had.

Ancient Agora of Athens
Even though our worlds are divided by centuries, the ancient Greeks weren't all that different from us. They still liked to go out, meet up, and do a little shopping – and they did that at public squares known as agoras. The Ancient Agora of Athens was more than just a market and meeting place though. This was the cultural and political heart of the ancient city, and excavations have uncovered a treasure trove of artifacts and chambers that bring the reality of living in ancient Greece right into the present day.

The Agora compound is immense with several important structures that provide good information about not only the Agora but also other important Athens sites, and the history of the removal of the Elgin Marbles.
Although I visited with another adult, I think the Agora is one of the better sites to visit with children as there is ample open space to explore.
Processing of botanical samples from recent (ongoing?) excavation by Boston University was underway during my visit. Unfortunately, no information was available about the research goals or preliminary findngs from this project on site, although the work was taking place in plain sight - a missed opportunity to educate visitors about archaeological research, how we know what took place in the past, and international research collaboration.

Very interesting and large!
Very interesting and large! You can wander among the ancient sites. Look for the water clock, the temple at the top of the hill and many statues. There was a small museum and the entire site was a park-like setting with the freedom to wander about with very little blocked off. We liked it and spent about 3 hours there.

Everyone knows about the Acropolis but I would definitely recommend taking an hour to walk around the Ancient Agora. If going, download Rick Steve's free audioguide app which explains everything and gives the whole tour a much experience!
