So much to see, museums are the best with many special exhibitions. Shopping couldn't be better with every price range. You definitely wouldn't go hungry in Liverpool, you can eat your way around the world with restaurants from every country. There are many theatres and we saw a top class production of 'The Rocky Horror Show' at 'The Everyman' Liverpool is in the local vernacular 'The'Biz'.

This has to be the most underrated city in England - most other cities you know what there is to see. Here, there was loads to see I never knew existed. A guided city walk is an absolute must to get you started. St Georges Hall? Never heard of it. WW2 Western Approaches - same. The cathedrals? Unsung amazing. A city full of history and stories. Not to mention the best steak I have had all year (and it's December) Miller and Carter, Albert Dock.

The people of Liverpool are warm, welcoming and friendly. We met so many and every one of them was helpful and friendly. We went to a match - a fantastic experience in every way. We intend to go back to Liverpool and spend more time there to properly get to know the city. If you can, of course go to Anfield. We hit the Christmas market on Lime street - a great place.

Amazing museums, historic buildings , great shopping & some really fascinating pubs to discover.
Live music can be enjoyed all day in many of the city's pubs and you have to visit the iconic cavern club & bars on Matthew Street, don't forget the tour bus & mersey ferry trip 😀 then pick a great place to enjoy a meal - you'll be spoilt for choice .

See reviews by guests who stayed at hotels in Liverpool
Belter of a location- would be spot on for first time visitors to Liverpool and tourists. Close to literally everything; the town hall, the docks/ pier head, the Tate and the Open Eye gallery, Lime Street and Central Station, Liverpool one and the Church Street shops- plus lots of lovely bars and restaurants around- not a far walk from anything in the city centre. There’s something for everyone!!
Beds reasonably comfy- shower was quite nice (minus the mould) and stayed hot for a good while- views from our window were lovely!
We abandoned the first hotel we booked in Liverpool and desperately made it to the Marriott across the city. It turned out to be one of the best decisions I made during our 3+ weeks in England. The staff were some of the kindest I met in England, they were VERY considerate of my daughter and went above and beyond for us.
The hotel was located close to the city centre, liverpool one and the restaurants and bars and docks.
The various different receptionists we met on our staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
