Market Street hotel, hotel in Edinburgh

Located in the center of Edinburgh, just a few minutes’ walk from the Royal Mile and 650 yards of The Real Mary King's Close, Market Street forms part of Edinburgh’s historic skyline.

The bed was extraordinarily comfortable. The shower was great with strong water pressure and shower heads in the ceiling. There were also big plush bathrobes which I appreciated. The complimentary mini bar was a real treat with a variety of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages and sweet treats restocked everyday.

There was this feeling that you stepped back in time, with the perching view of the Edinburgh palace. The gothic view of the historical monuments alongside the streets on one side and the renovated stores of modernization overlooking the museum. It was great to see the mixture of old and new entwined. You cant get enough of the city and taking a trip outside of the city is also a gem. Whichever is your choice you will not be disappointed. I visited Rosslyn Chapel which is about 1 and half hour from the city.

I liked the multiple areas of the room; bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, living room area. I liked the location of the hotel, the street, the proximity to Waverly Station and Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street Gardens. Loved the floral clock in the gardens, see it from July until October, beautiful. Plus, the little café in lobby was always hopping and very convenient.

It is absolutely beautiful and they upgraded us to a view of the castle. You’re steps away from the Princes Street Gardens. Staff, Erin I believe her name was, was friendly, professional and was very welcoming. They had a pool and sauna which were so nice to relax in after a long flight. I really wanted to ride their Peloton bike but the gym didn’t open early enough for me to hop on before my tour.
