The owners are super friendly and helpful, he loves to talk with the guests and has lots of interesting stories to tell. The hotel is between a railway and road so we were afraid of the noise but it didn’t bother us at all. Room was very nice and very clean. Location is right underneath the castle and close to the beach.

We had planned a trip to Portmeirion. We weren't planning on doing distance as the rest of my party had already done that. Snowdonia has many things for all.
The property is very clean and located close to the pub and free parking. The cottage is cosy and comfortable. There are lots of attractions nearby- we visited Portmeirion, waterfalls, small towns, kids’ farm and a local castle. we have spent wonderful few days there and really enjoyed our evenings in front of the wood fire in the cottage. The owner was very accommodating and friendly. We would definitely recommend this place.
Our stay at Bryn Derw was amazing! Linda made us feel extremely welcome and was an excellent host. The room was very cosy, peaceful and located on a beautiful property. The perfect stay for anybody looking to visit Portmeirion or to go hiking in the serene Welsh mountains!
Rooms had everything you could need for a comfortable stay. Everything within the room top quality, towels plush bed linen smelt amazing. Mugs Portmeirion pottery.
Top quality breakfast produce and tea, coffee hot chocolate, biscuits and milk provided. Donna is the perfect host, friendly accommodating, making sure you get the best out of your stay.
Excellent location, close to local attractions and with onsite parking. Very comfortable and all facilities included. Fantastic views across the estuary to Portmeirion, very scenic!
Such a find! We had an extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean room. Special mention for super-fluffy towels and twin basins in the en-suite. Water and fresh milk in the fridge was a nice touch. The breakfast was excellent, with plenty of options. The location is very handy for Snowdonia, Portmeirion, and Angelsey. Most of all, though, Donna and her team were so pleasant, thoughtful and helpful.
The room was lovely, good quality bedding and fixtures. It was very clean. They also provided plates, bowls and cutlery for use for your own food. Tea, coffee and fresh milk where provided along with Linda's scrummy home made cake.
We had a table and chairs to sit on just outside our room and you could walk down to the lawn area and use the table and chairs there. It was a beautiful quite location. Portmeirion and other places of interest where just a 10 minute drive away.
We will use this place again when we are in the area.
