The hotel is in what looks from the front like a lovely building; at the back is a brick monstrosity which fortunately you don't see much of (but what possessed the owners?). It's in a very beautiful place. Staff were kind and conscientious. There are numerous small and well-furnished places in the ground floor where you can sit. There is an agreeable bar. The food was good, although not stellar.
Located 20 miles from Dalby Forest, The Forge offers 4-star accommodations in Whitby and has a garden, a restaurant and a bar.

The staff were welcoming and friendly. The suite we had was lovely and spacious and was very quiet. Plenty of options for breakfast which was very tasty.
