the area is absolutely gorgeous. so beautiful surroundings and a spectacular view of the lake and hills and trees.
Check in was a breeze and they let us in before the stated check in time. Very good instructions from the reception.
The spa was a very good experience, it was cheap for booked in guests. Dinner was from a double Rosette restaurant and was very good. it's pricey but is worth it. you will be eating looking at incredible views. the staff were attentive and efficient. Breakfast was the best, very good quality and quantity. i just hope they have included this is in the room price they charged. The decor is really dated but that didn't bother us, we like places with character. the room is ok ( standard lake view) , quite small, but sufficient space for a short stay. if you are ging for a longer stay, best to book a bigger room so you have enough space for wardrobe. bed is comfortable. very near to the toilet

We enjoyed our stay at Dragon Hotel very much. The room was clean, the towels were large and fluffy, and the bed was comfy. We chose the hotel because it was close to where we needed to be in Wales, and my husband has a bit of passion for half-timber buildings. The building did not disappoint him and the surrounding area was a visual and historical delight. Food was really extraordinary! Our dinner, the first night, was excellent--interesting, well-prepared, and delicious! I'd give the meal 5 stars! Breakfast each morning was fine, with options to please almost anyone. Thanks for a great stay

We arrived early and the rooms weren't ready but the receptionist checked the mobile number and rang me when the rooms were ready. The rooms were bright, clean and had plenty of space. There was tea / instant coffee and also a coffee machine with pods. Breakfast offered a very good choice with cereals / yoghurts and then a cooked option. We ate in the restaurant for both evenings of our stay and although the service was initially a little slow on the first evening, more staff appeared and everything went well. The food was very good, good sized portions and a reasonable price. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and were knowledgeable about things to do in the area.

The room we had was large, clean, and had some charming historic elements (i.e., fireplace mantle and exposed beams). Half of us were in a separate "pod" at the rear of the hotel; it, too, was clean, attractive, and comfortable. It is a great value, especially when you factor in the amazing breakfast - our best breakfast of a 4-week stay in the UK & Ireland.
