The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the shower was great! The location was excellent and near the station which made check in easy and convenient. The staff where very friendly and helpful, we loved that they offered for us to leave bags in reception after we had checked out, it was very convenient and meant that we could go into town to get breakfast easily, with out having to worry about our bags.

You need to read up about this one, it's more significant as a memento of the Oxford Movement in the 19th century than as a memorial to the Martyrs burnt to death in Queen Mary's reign. It's also helpful to read up on line about the saga of Pugin and the reconstruction of the face of Balliol college, with which this is linked.
