We expressed from the outset our need for an accessible room, as stairs are a definite challenge. Not only was the room accessible, but also access to the Dining Room which would have required tackling three steps had not the Hotel invested in a very safe and steady open plan floor lift, which was amazing. The Hotel was well planned out with excellent Rooms and facilities. All staff were pleasant and cheerful.

Loved the decor, very comfy, there were nice small touches such as offering local branded toiletries to sample and a thoughtfully stocked mini bar. The food was great and the location was perfect for what we were looking for. Very clean and would definitely stay again.

House is top heavy with stuff but the gardens are nice and even better the rolling acres around which are free to walk more or less and don't cost anything
Have just remembered the children's adventure playground which is really fabulous, worth the entry fee and very adventurous indeed so not for the faint hearted but for older children who want a challenge. Well done Chatsworth

DO NOT just turn up.
DO NOT just turn up. The car park is £7.50 and the attendants will NOT tell you that it is free if you pre book. They will simply take your money and only afterwards will you find out that it would have been free if you'd parked up before the gate and pre booked.

I have never understood why the House, its collection and gardens are always rated as Britain's best. I have been often and too many others in the British Isles
But the Chatsworth staff: absolutely. Thank you all.

Stunning location, we love to stare across the landscape, look out at the sky with little light pollution, watch bunnies enjoy the morning mist and meet the joyous pups of the main house.
We stayed for an Annual meet up at Chatsworth House
Our room was lovely and well thought out. All the things we could want for our stay. Truly felt home from home. Very comfortable bed, lovely views over towards Chatsworth House estate.
The location. Right at the gates to Chatsworth house. The hotel/pub was very nice. The room, ground floor was great but a little tired. Nothing a coat of paint wouldn't put right. The breakfast had a good choice, both hot and cold. Car park was very useful.
We stayed at the Devonshire Arms to attend the Chatsworth House Christmas markets. The hotel was ideally located for this. We were able to park easily at the hotel. The pub food in the evening was lovely and the ambience in the bar was really nice,
The location was excellent as we were attending the Chatsworth Country Fayre and within walking distance of Chatsworth House. We were in the downstairs front apartment which was really nice as it overlooked the front garden. The bed was very comfortable and plenty of storage space for clothes.
Very pleasant stay in this hotel, quiet location location a few miles away from Chatsworth house. Dinner and breakfast both excellent. Only the room was tiny for the price, but lovely and well equipped.
The hotel was lovely and clean and had very welcoming decor throughout.
The staff were lovely especially Emma who checked us in and even let us have a look at some other rooms for our future stay.
The hotel was easily accessible from Chatsworth House and the food was lovely.
Everything was just as we expected. A delightful hotel in a beautiful part of Derbyshire. Would thoroughly recommend it to friends. Its proximity to Chatsworth House made it even more special. would certainly go again.
