Excellent property and the most wonderful receptionist Grigor. We were delayed by a day because of cancelled trains due to flooding in Malaga. He kept in touch with us to reassure and confirm our travel arrangements once we got them made. He was most welcoming and looked after us very well. A delightful man and a credit to the hotel.

Couldn't ask for a more central location and the hotel was stylish and quiet inside. Lovely room and the bed, bedding and pillows were all deliciously comfortable. Nice breakfast selection and helpful staff. We walked everywhere. Taxi from the train station cost us about €11 as I remember but once in town we walked everywhere.

You can definitely spend the day here.
You can definitely spend the day here. So do so and relax into this magical place. There are some very nice hotel restaurants nearby to have a nice long lunch. Try to make reservations so you will be sure to get in. Get your Alhambra tickets online far in advance. They really sell out. If you have online tickets you can enter via the Gate of Justice which is very cool. Try to get your tickets to enter the main place for the morning, if you can. See the Main Palace first, then go to the Alcazaba fort, have lunch and then enjoy the afternoon in the gardens of the Gerneralife. Be ready to walk a lot!

The Alhambra is wonderful.
The Alhambra is wonderful. Unfortunately we left it too late to book tickets and so we had to buy places on an organised English tour in the evening. We were very disappointed in the guide himself. Although it was an English tour, he spent a lot of his time speaking to a couple in Spanish. This took quite a lot of time out of our tour and frankly, we felt we were rather short changed. Our tips are a) book as early as you can - a few weeks in advance would be best. b) buy tickets to allow you to do your own tour and c) use the audio tour headsets available allowing you to do the tour at your own pace.

Packed with tourists and coach parties, all posing interminably for photos. Don't attempt to do both together, just the Alhambra takes hours to walk around. Go to the Generalife on a different day and arrive early to beat the crowds.

There is a lot to see and walk around.
There is a lot to see and walk around. We booked extra tickets for the gardens, so we could do it all at leisurely pace over two days. Good decision. Bus number C32 going up, easy walk back down from the side gate. If you use the car park be aware that the upper gate is locked at closing time. You can linger and exit through the side gate but it is a longer walk back. Buy tickets online and well in advance - they sell out quick. You will need to show passports at various entry points. Be careful to only use official website.

Very clean and quiet, all the facilities. The bedroom was silent and comfortable. The patio was amazing! I was then further amazed to discover yet another higher up terrace that was even more amazing! The location is perfect, couldn't ask for more. Will stay again. Friendly host, keen to please, sweet of her to fetch me some coffee pods. Shops and restaurants very close, easy to walk to the Alhambra and Generalife in five to ten minutes. Lovely at night gazing out of the balcony.

The Alhambra inside and out is more beautiful in person than any picture can capture. The views from around town with the mountainous background are breathtaking. Enjoying that with wine and a complimentary cocktail is a perfect day in my experience.

Taking a tour that includes time to see the Alhambra and Albayzín is key, but also take time to walk slowly in the small streets. Stop for ice cream or beer w/ tapas. Look up at the buildings as you walk to notice all the architectural details.
